More Thoughts to SueReader comment on item: Is Allah God? Submitted by Allonehhob (Canada), Sep 30, 2005 at 23:27 My friend Sue,It is interesting to write to you and because I have read your response to William, I couldn't resist to answer. GOD and Allah Since the first days, humans used to create images of GOD based on human thinking human ability, human past experience and limited understanding of GOD. GOD is beyond all of that. GOD who could create this lovely world, who could create amazing creatures, colourful plants and roses is beyond imagination. The only way that would make people understand GOD almighty is by sending part of him, what we call Jesus to earth, to show us the capabilities of GOD's love to humanity. To make people believe in their ability to love others as much as he loves us. Muhammad failed in describing God (Allah) because of his limitations as human. he draw an image about God very similar to human limitations of reasoning, such as conditional love, hate, justice, fairness, power, etc, all of these pictures clearly came from someone who only has human ability to imagine God. Miracles There are many explanations of how earth was created and how the end of the day will look like in the torah and the bibles, in addition to many things that can be explained as scientific facts in the old and new testimony that scientists discovered recently. However, neither Jews nor Christians claim that these facts are scientific miracles like Muslim do. The lack of miracles in Mohammad's life made him claim that the unique miracle he has is the Quran. And Muslims today created new phenomena about Quran scientific miracles so they are striving to find explanations for Quran's suras in order to make them look as scientific miracles. The miracle of the Quran based on a claim that it was preserved from changing, lets assume that Quran was preserved, then should we consider zillion of other preserved books, writings, history and remaining that were even thousands of years older than the Quran as miracles? My understanding is that the main drive behind Islam was based on a claim that the bibles are corrupted, so Muhammad came with the true message in order to correct what was missed through thousands of years in History including old and new testimony. Now if I proofed to you that bibles are not corrupted, then that makes Islam fall, and makes the whole religion a fake message done by a fake prophet, sorry Sue for being harsh here but it is only a debate. You know Sue, lets assume that you have a proof that bibles are corrupted, but history tells me that once upon a time someone came to the world with one message which is love and peace, I will be the first one to follow him. The main message of the bible is love of God to humanity, it doesn't matter to me how God proofed it but what it matters is that it is unconditional love, believing in human dignity, equality (not based on faith or behaviour) but based on the fact that we are equal as human regardless. No one is superior even if this person goes to the mosque every day, does 5 prayers a day, went to haj, etc. God is beyond our measures and our justice system. Jesus came as a revolution of human behaviour and human measures. So, it is NOT an act of weakness if you bless your enemies, nor it is act of weakness if you don't bomb people who bomb your house. It was proofed through history that REAL peace can be done non violently. Example on this, Ghandi who defeated Great Britian without acting violently toward his enemies. Peace in Islam The solution in Quran for oppression is that Muslim should defend their lands, part of it is to kill and bomb occupiers until they get their rights back. The solution in the bible, is to find common grounds between both, negotiate and keep on negotiating until you have your rights back, it is proofed that the possibility of getting rights back by peace is much higher than by violence. Violence may give victory to a nation over a certain period of time, look at the history, how many great nations and emperors, that no one imagined will ever end, actually failed. This is the big difference between Jesus' and Mohammad's message. Jesus said that "my kingdom is not from this world", because he doesn't measure success and fialiure based on human reasoning, he was not looking for gaining any thing in the world. Mohammad however in his life and his teachings insisted that defending your rights and your land is a major aspect of Islam, spreading Islam in any mean is a duty of each muslim. If God is really watching over Muslims according to Islam, would God permit the failure of what is known Islamic emperor last was Otoman. Who knows maybe one day Muslim will create another emperor, but does this mean that Islam gained victory? According to the bible, peace can be accomplished if we stopped hitting people who hits us. Violence will only create violence, if we stop violence even if we are victims, then real peace will be granted providing that we forget something called pride. Let's have our right back through laws and through justice system that was created by accumulation of human civilization and experience, not according to Sharia law that is not compatible with human rights. Resisting occupiers has nothing to do with religion or with God, resisting occupiers is an act based on human attachments to their belongings. This applies to any nation that and may did commit harm to humanity in the name of God, which also includes crusaders whether they were politically wrong or right.
