To Nuray: A open mind is essential

Dear Nuray,
It is very sad that to see you reacting in this way. What makes you angry? I feel you are over reacting. I have asked you a question. Muslims believe Quran is some kind of miracle and Allah will protect it. What do you mean by "protect"?. Does protect mean, protection from scriptural corruption or even including "physica"l protection (like the Guantanmo story)? This is my question. Why don't you simply answer the question instead of hyper reacting?
While handling the Quran, Muslims make the most extreme care as if it is a dying baby or "fragile piece of delicate art" ,as if it had dropped from heaven bound exactly as it is by Jibreel. It is well known fast that, Quran was written, rewritten and proof read, (sometimes copies of it toren and burned by the Muslims themselves many times by men "and not angels") more than 100 years after Muhammed'd death. Some Muslims, like to keep it at the top of anything in their room, saying that nothing should be put above the Quran (same like no building should be built higer than mosques in Saudi Arabia). I was looking forward to this and other discussions and had asked you what does "a protection" mean. I'm not the one who flushed the Quran. Read my post properly before judging. I said "i heard...it can be rumor or fact"...the news paper which published it retracted the statment and US officials called it ‘irresponsible' and "demonstrably false".

Why are you angry at me? and why should i apologize to all Muslims? Just because i said "i heard the the Quran was flushed in a toilet in Guntanamo?"

For your information, the Pentagon issued strict orders in 2003 to US military staff at its Guantanamo, Cuba, naval base detention centre to respect the Quran. The Pentagon released a three-page memorandum drafted in January 2003, one year after the first prisoners arrived at the base, on the need to protect Islam's holy book.

But do you know that Muslims tear, and burn Bibles all over the world? Whereever Christians are minority in any Islamic country this kind of stories are not unusual.

Do you know that Islamic terrorists holed up in Bethlehem's Church of the Nativity (trying to escape from Isreaeli soldiers) reportedly used the Bible as toilet paper??? That Church is Christianity most holies church. Catholic priests in the church marking the spot where Jesus was believed to have been born said that during the five-week siege, Palestinians tore up some Bibles for toilet paper and removed many valuable sacramental objects, according to a May 15, 2002, report by the Washington Times. Angry Orthodox priests showed reporters empty bottles of whiskey, champagne, vodka, cognac and French wine on the floor along with hundreds of cigarette butts.

Muslim terrorists in Christianity's holiest church, tearing Bible and using it as toilet paper, drinking whisky and Champagne and smoking cigarette inside!

Imagine some Christians, entering Mecca and tearing Quran and using it as toilet paper! imagine them drinking whisky and smoking inside Mecca!! can you imagine it Mr/s Nuray? i guess you can never, never imagine that. The whole Muslim world will rise and there would be Muslim as well as Christian blood running down the streets in many countries.

While the pentagon apologised for the "rumor" of the Quran, which might not have happened, there was no condemnation from Muslims for the ugly thing doen by those terrorist to the Holy Bible. Mulsims talk of repsect, but it is just a disguise to make themselves civlized and trying to show us that they respect other religions. Your own Quran says humilate and kill non believers, your own book say "don't make friendship with Jewish and Christians"...If your own Allah is telling you this, if your own prophet killed and humiliated them , can we expect genuine respect from Muslims? is their respect really based on unconditional human love and compassion? if it is well, they are opposing Allah and they will be juged one day "for loving Christians & Jews". There are many Muslisms though, who love humanity, but this people are not following Quran word by word.

Dear Nuray, this posts are not meant for abuse. It is a forum where we bring ideas and post them as what we believe them to be. If you are offended by some questions, that is your way of understanding the issue and you should not run to judge people.
For example you said in your previous posts:

Read your posts, these are your own words. You said Christianity is racist, Bible is corrupted, Churches of full of statues, Bible is man made holy book.......

To some Christians this is offensive. But did we ever tell you to apologize? This is how you see Christainity and you have a right and a reason to say what you want to say .It is up to us to make explain and make things clear for you. For example, for you Muhammed is a holy man but for many people, he is a terrorist. Will you get angry if somebody tells you Muhammed is a terrorist? Why should you? Why don't you politely ask that person what makes Muhammed terrorist and try to expalin to him it is incorrect? why do you have to get angry and request an apolgy?

I can't see why i have to apologize to Muslims by simply saying that "i heard Quran was flused in toilet in Guantanamo".
An open and Healthy mind is necessary for healthy discussion.
