To Gaye Carman: You made me happy.Reader comment on item: Is Allah God? Submitted by Nuray (Portugal), Nov 28, 2005 at 15:59 Dear Gaye,You wrote that "By the way Nuray, I like the way you discuss things with people, you are not rude, nasty nor do you swear as I have seen some Muslims and non Muslims on some other sites...I respect you for this..." ------------------------- I am delighted to read your genuine comment about my attitude towards non-Muslims as a Muslim. This is what I expect from all people. They might have different religion but they should respect to each other. I am glad you noticed this. You wrote that "Show me another example like this humanitarianism in the history." Why are you so sure? If I can show you many but not anything like "Galileo and the Inquisition" Islam has no organization like church which can override any rules of God. People go to mosque to worship Allah. Giving fatwa in theory just an advice like verses of Quran. --------------------------- "With clear signs and Books (We sent the Messengers). And We have also sent down unto you (O Muhammad ) the reminder and the advice (the Qur'ân), that you may explain clearly to men what is sent down to them, and that they may give thought. " (16:44) Do you see Allah call his last book as advice not a rule? That's why one of the reason why I am a Muslim. The Mighty Creator, Allah gives advice his creatures to think not to obey blindly. You wrote that "Allah, was only a god of agriculture, war and the sword, one of Mohammads great, great, great grandfathers 360 gods that he had in his religious scam." --------------------------- I can see lack of knowledge easily. Let me correct. (1) Abraham,is the ancestor of the Jewish people, Ishmael, the son of Abraham is ancestor of Muhammed, peace upon him. That's why Muslims accept all the messengers sent by Allah or God. (2) Muhammed, peace upon him, was like Moses, who was also a statesman, but not like Jesus who was just a messenger. He established first Islamic state and had holly fight against non-believers who used to kill Muslims wherever found. Have you known any state established without war in history? Hardly found. (3) Mecca is the most holy city in Islam. It was also an important trade and religious centre in the past. It doesn't have soil suitable for agriculture like Medina. Muhammed, peace upon him, was a businessman, not a villager. If you mean that Muslims are poor. They are currently so. West was in dark age while Muslims was having their golden age. This is just a cycle. (4) Kaba was full of those idols and cleared at the life time of Muhammed, peace upon him. Why do you think that we Muslims don't have any pictures of him, like Jesus. We Muslims worship only Allah. He was just a messenger and one of the servant of Allah. Those idols are refused in Quran 53 - Surah An-Najm 23. They(Al-Lât, Al-'Uzza & ) are but names which you have named, you and your fathers, for which Allâh has sent down no authority. They follow but a guess and that which they themselves desire, whereas there has surely come to them the Guidance from their Lord! Do you see how Allah defines the mind of Idolators? They just guess what God is. Quran is so clear That's why I am a Muslim. You wrote that "Muslims stole everything the Jews " --------------------------- First of all Jews are 0.23% but Muslims are 20% of world population. That pattern you gave is meaningful. Torah is sent only to Jews who are proud of it. That's why the numbers of followers of Moses less compared to others. Judaism is not a universal religion but Islam is. All I can say about for Jews for the time being they suffered much in the past. Some of them, (20% jew in Israil) suffer and make others suffer to serve interest of super powers. Muslims and Jews should learn how live in Middle East peacefully. These are politics. They should be out of our discussion. I heard on the news. I palestine Muslim father who lost his son in Isarili attack gave his son's organ to save 5 lives of Israili patient. This is a miracle. If there was no politics there people could get along with each other easily. They are the people of same environement. You wrote that "Nuray, in all religions people leave, and one has to wonder why, but have you ever wondered why even clerics have left Islam, when with Islam they will be killed by their own families if they leave, so they have to have great disgust in their own religion to do this,,, we dont kill our own if they leave their religions,,, " -------------------------------------- I can tell you that democracy is not to elect governor but also allows you what you want. It is human nature if something is not forbidden they will not obey. We are not so powerful. Let's be honest to ourselves shall we? If adultery is not forbidden how many times people can say no. The adultery is not a sin in west anymore. But adultery is sin in Islam. If some people suffer from physical injuries in Muslim countries this doesn't mean that they disobey Allah but they commit a crime which is against Islam. This is the reality. Killing can not be justified in Islam. There is no compulsion in Islam. Muslims societies are not suppose to clone people having same level of belief. Have you heard takwa, which show real value of Muslim and a measure of closestness to Allah. Some people might leave Islam for the sake of their own desires. These people would leave their religion even if they were born Jewish and Christian. Human nature is same everywhere. Let me give another example. Drinking is forbidden in Islam. Some Muslim drink but this doesn't mean they left Islam. Who is perfect believer. There was someone used to drink during the life time of Muhammed, once open him. He couldn't stop drinking after drinking was forbidden. He was not so strong mentally like others. The followers of him wanted to punish him. But our messenger told them that he likes Allah and his messengers. He didn't allow the punishment to happen. This is very good example showing that Islam is not immoderate but moderate, religion of tolerance. I don't say everything is correct in Muslim countries. Being perfect is not possible but they do their best. I just explain what should be done according to Quran and how our messenger applied the rules as an example for Muslims. if anything is not clear please let me know. By the way, there are many thing to discuss relation between Judaism and Islam in terms of theology. Nuray
