In 1095 pope Urban called on Christian europe to defend eastern Christians and stop muslims armies from conquering christian lands. For more than a thousand years, the catholic chuch was the symbol around which christians rally in their fight against the ottoman empire. For you to suggest that there is any kind of likeness between catholicism and islam is flat out wrong.

No pope has ever proclaim that catholicism and islam are the same. Catholics worship the true living God. We believe Christ died for our sins and rose from the dead. We believe in the Trinity of God. How many muslims believe in that. There is no scripture in the Bible that calls for the killing of Jews. If the muslim hadith calls for the killing of jews, it's because it's not from God. No catholic believes that the Koran is from God. You said the pope signed a concordat with Hitler. Don't compare the action of an individual with what the hadith says, but compare the hadith with the Bible. Human beings are falable, but the word of God is eternal. Don't take the blasphemous portrayal of Mary in the koran and apply to catholics. Catholics don't believe in anything the koran says.
