re :kr and others,TRINITY in the BIBLEReader comment on item: Is Allah God? Submitted by true believer (India), May 26, 2006 at 11:27 Judging by your post I am sure that you have never read the Bible in your life. Those who have studied the Bible, both Old and the New Testament will surely understand what I write. For those of whom who are not aware of the books of the bible, Exodus and Psalms are a part of the Jewish holy scriptures and predate the coming of Jesus into this world. Exodus belongs to the time of Moses ( Moosa ) while Psalms were songs written by King David ( Dawood ) of Israel ( Shir'at Daveed for the Jews). Psalm 45:6 Your throne, O God, is forever and ever;
Those of youwho have read the Bible will be able to answer this question asked by Jesus "How is it then that David, speaking by the Spirit, calls him 'Lord' ? I also qoute some other verses from the Bible John 1:17 For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. Exodus 30:13 Then Moses said to God, "Indeed, when I come to the children of Israel and say to them, ‘The God of your fathers has sent me to you,' and they say to me, ‘What is His name?' what shall I say to them?" John 8:54 Jesus answered, "If I honor Myself, My honor is nothing. It is My Father who honors Me, of whom you say that He is your God. Verses from the Holy Bible stating that Father is God John 6:27 Do not labor for the food which perishes, but for the food which endures to everlasting life, which the Son of Man will give you, because God the Father has set His seal on Him." Romans 1:7 To all who are in Rome, beloved of God, called to be saints: I Peter 1:1Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, Verses from the Holy Bible stating that the Son (Jesus) is God John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. Romans 9:4 who are Israelites, to whom pertain the adoption, the glory, the covenants, the giving of the law, the service of God, and the promises; Colossians 2:8 Beware lest anyone cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the basic principles of the world, and not according to Christ. Psalm 45:6 Your throne, O God, is forever and ever;A scepter of righteousness is the scepter of Your kingdom. I John 5:20 And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us an understanding, that we may know Him who is true; and we are in Him who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life Verses from the Holy Bible stating that the Holy Spirit is God John 14:16 And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever Mark 3:28 [Jesus said]"Assuredly, I say to you, all sins will be forgiven the sons of men, and whatever blasphemies they may utter; 29 but he who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is subject to eternal condemnation" Acts 5:3 But Peter said, "Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and keep back part of the price of the land for yourself? I Corinthians 3:16 Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? Verses in the Holy Bible pertaining to Trinity II Corinthians 13:14 The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all. Amen John 10:30 I and the Father are one." Teachings of Jesus regarding Sabbath It was forbidden by the Law of Moses to work on the Sabbath. The Pharisees and the Jewish teachers of law were trying to use this as an excuse to blame Jesus for having broken the sabbath. Mark 2:23 Now it happened that He went through the grainfields on the Sabbath; and as they went His disciples began to pluck the heads of grain. Matthew 12:9 Now when He had departed from there, He went into their synagogue. I have quoted these verses from the NKJV English Bible. I wont't need to give any URLs or supporting posts, the Word of God is sufficient enough to prove my point. Read the Bible carefully instead of pliagarising from some dubious websites authored and maintained by people whose only aim in life seems to be Christ bashing. The content authors of these websites have never read the bible with the right intentions or tried to understand the Bible properly. If you don't have the time to do this, atleast go through the Bible verses that I have quoted above. Regarding Rome as the center and origin of Christianity, There were five main centres of early Christianity.
The bishops of these five centres were called Patriarchs. The Patriarch of Rome had primacy over all other patriarchs because Peter the first patriarch of Rome (and not Paul as it is often mistaken) was the rock on which Jesus said that He would build the church. Christianity got wiped out in Antioch and Constantinople got wiped out after the fall of the Byzantine empire to moslems. After the Armenian genocide the patriarch of Antioch was forced to flee to Iraq and then to Damascus in Syria to avoid persecution where he sits at present. Moran Mor Ignatios Zakka Iwas II is the current Patriarch of Antioch and all east (Syriac Orthodox Church) . St Mark had preached in Egypt and Alexandria is still called as the "holy see" of St Mark, pope Shenouda is the patriarch of Alexandria (Coptic church). Christianity died in Egypt and Jerusalem after the rise of Islam, but survived and spread in Rome and all throughout Europe. This led to a misconception that Rome was where Christianity originated. In the name of the Father , Son and the Holy Ghost. - Francis Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes.
