If Hitler says so and Ianus concurs who am I to disagreeReader comment on item: Turkey in Cyprus vs. Israel in Gaza Submitted by Lazman (United States), Jul 29, 2010 at 00:16 Ianus, so far in 5-6 days you have close to 30 postings, with nearly 18,000 words, including 100s of angry and hate-filled ones to describe Turks, such as barbarians, genocidal, massacres, rapists, killers, looters, and savages etc. You may claim that this is not a bad ratio for your writing style and mentality. However, someone should advice you that constant belligerent postings makes one irrelevant. Instead it seems like someone, somewhere misled you into thinking you can deny realities and package any old nonsense and false information into lengthy sentences, throw in some sophisticated wording and you have a whole new story to pitch as historical fact to the ignorant. Obviously if you make it outrageous enough and repeat it often as you do, maybe you are giving your followers what they want. And considering the character, this reminds me, I guess I have reached my Godwin's law moment with this topic. A couple of points: Firstly, My previous comment to you: YET, with all that emotional outcry, and I repeat, in your nearly 10,000 words, you have not mentioned even once the words Greek dictatorship, junta, enosis, or Sampson, the key ingredients for the Greek Cypriot debacle in 1974, resulting in the Turkish invasion of the island. Yes, keep telling yourself otherwise. And you respond: I did it for a very important reason. They played not the role you in your ignorance ascribe them and which conveniently enough whitewashes the Turks but were just puppets whose movements were staged and coordinated from far away - Washington DC Ianus again, I did not realize how much my adopted homeland, United States, was behind the Cyprus invasion as you claim. To summarize what you even previously said, repeating your words and sentences: "… United States fooled the Greeks to remove their division from Cyprus in 1967 and blackmailed and terrorized Greece into passivity …. Turkish invasion from the beginning to the end was sponsored by US and masterminded by Henry Kissinger. ….. United States sent the 6th US Fleet to secure the safe passage of the Turkish navy from Turkey to the beaches of Northern Cyprus and provided the Turks with all the weapons including the napalm to use on Cyprus ...." In summary, "US unleashed the hungry Turkish wolf upon Cyprus to feed with Greek blood" - All your words. I guess in "Ianus' world" the leader of my native land of "barbarians, genocidal, massacres, rapists, killers, looters, and savages etc" is my adopted homeland, United States. This burden is just getting to be too much for me to accept and bear! So based on your belief wouldn't you now think that the Turks were used and also victims in this? I was going to say you can't have it both ways but I am sure Ianus can have it as many ways as he can imagine, especially at 4:29 am in the morning. Secondly, My previous comment to you: ABSOLUTELY AMAZING – ….. I am talking about the power of hatred and indoctrination. I hope you at least felt better after that. Like I said to you in the past, I wish I could help but …. it is still beyond my expertise. You respond: … explain to me what is wrong about exposing and hating evil. Absolutely nothing, you can feel and fight your demons however you wish. In fact I hope this "blog therapy" helps. If not, I recommend doubling the number of postings and increasing the level of history revision. Other more realistic option I can see is that Turkey should just scrap the ongoing talks regarding the unification of the island. Things have been very peaceful as a divided island for decades; why have a bunch of obviously fuming hateful Greek Cypriots return to Northern Cyprus to become or raise future Sampsons. Sampson may be one of the realities you like to deny. Let me summarize it for you. He was the Greek Cypriot, who is described by many as the vicious killer who knew it would create a civil war and masterminded with the Greek military junta to overthrow the Cyprus government and triggered the Turkish invasion. He was sentenced by Greeks to 20 years in prison for treason in 1976 (I guess US did not stand behind him). In 1981 to the Greek newspaper Eleftherotipia, Sampson said, "Had Turkey not intervened, I would not only have proclaimed Enosis, I would have annihilated the Turks in Cyprus as well." This was in fact the similarity I mentioned between some of Arab Israel conflicts and Greek Cypriot and Turkish conflict; where one side got stupid, aggressive, and violent and it backfired on them. In truth, trying to address your situation, I even forgot the original topic which at least to me was the hypocrisy of Turkey's Islamist government. Maybe next time. Ianus, this is all the time I can allocate to this article this week. However, as I said to you about two months ago if you post your personal story that shaped this strong anger and hatred in your life I would love to read and learn. Stay well and be good.
