US citizens killed by the Turks in Cyprus in 1974Reader comment on item: Turkey in Cyprus vs. Israel in Gaza Submitted by Ianus (Poland), Sep 3, 2010 at 10:04 Caleb , I see you never run out of lies to make genocidal Turkey look so innocent and cozy . I hope you've still got a large stock of them as you'll need them to work the miracle of Turkish innocence. > Are you certain it was only the US State Department, the US Navy, NATO, Turkey and Archbishop Makarios that ganged up on the poor, defenseless little Cypriot National Guard? Subtract Makarios , add Rauf Denktash and the UK and you'll have the main culprits who ganged up against Cyrpus. A small comparison will do to see the scale of numerical and technical inferiority of the Cypriot National Guard towards the Turkish NATO army. The Cypriots had e.g only 32 modified T-34 tanks and had to oppose the onslaught of something between 200-300 US-made M-47 and M-48 tanks with NATO trained crews , shooting NATO shells while NATO planes were dropping NATO bombs and napalm. While in 1964 Johnson warned the Turks not to use a single NATO bullet in Cyprus in 1974 evidently someone in Washington saw to it this restriction no longer applied. So Cyprus was in fact isolated and defenceless aginst the Turkish barbarity and its American sponsors. These evil forces in Washington and London joined hands with a jihadist Islamic country with genocidal record which happened to be a NATO member to make Cyprus a NATO dependency in perpetuity . As Kissinger put it "No alliance is as important as the North Atlantic alliance, and nothing is of more importance to the unity of the West." One succeeded in implementing the Kissinger scheme in two ways - first by expropriating parts of Cyprus and installing "sovereign British"(i.e. NATO) bases in the south and then by unleashing the genocidal Moslem bloodhound against the undefended rest of the island to conquer and occupy it with NATO troops and to produce the virtual enosis with Turkey. > A paranoid fantasy so grandiose should include certain unnamed **intergalactic forces**, too, no?< Even though the Turkish archives are as closed as Turkish minds , all the evil forces at work in 1974 are well known by name. And if anyone needs "intergalactic forces" , then it is definitely 99,8% Islamized and "secular" Turkey where nothing happens without a direct intervention by Allah and his imams. And so in 1974 Turkish jihad backed by the US had a day of triumph. 40% of the land of the infidels was robbed and incorporated into the lands of Allah. Since that time mosques, minarets, Quranic schools have been flourished among the ruins and skulls of the murdered and expelled gavurlar! > I would like to see the full text of this alleged "NATO document" and in the original language, which could not have been English given the clumsy, substandard English phrasing and incorrect punctuation in the alleged quote. < Would you ? When did you start being interested in archives and documents , I wonder ? So far you haven't produced or faced any. Anyway, to see it go here . This document could be best read in the light of another partly de-classified CIA report from September 24, 1973 [ OCI No. 1456/73 ] where it reads : " [...] many countries believe that the balance of power in the Mediterranean could be upset if Cyprus were to slip over the edge.[...] NATO wants to preserve a strong southeastern flank against the growing Soviet presence in the eastern Mediterranean. NATO's strength in the area depends largely on the US Sixth Fleet and the military support of Greece and Turkey. Another Greek-Turkish confrontation over Cyprus could seriously impair that effectiveness. NATO members are also concerned that a weak government in either country might use the Cyprus issue to divert attention from problems at home and cause another confrontation, with all the headaches that would entail."...[ Interestingly enough, the rest , i.e. 2 paragraphs (15½ lines) has not been declassified - Ianus ;] > This highly trained corps of Makarios bodyguards also is pure invention.< Makarios organized in 1972 a special presidential guard called the Tactical Police Reserve . It numbered roughly 1 000 men. It was this force that on the morning of the 15th of July 1974 defended Makarios besieged in his presidential palace. It suffered heavy casualties but managed to save Makarios' life. > What the Archbishop did have was a good, stout pair of legs under his cassock. They carried him in the night to the British Sovereign Base Area and safety. < Itw as not the first attempt to assassinate Makarios . On 8th March 1970, Makarios narrowly escaped death when his helicopter was shot down and his pilot was killed. Now guess who called him the "Fidel Castro of the Mediterranean" ? It was the same man who in his memoirs "Years of Renewal" on page 199 called Makarios "the proximate cause of most of Cyprus' tensions" and who happened to be earlier Bulent Ecevit's teacher. But I willingly give you the privilege of ignorance, Turk. I am not going to force you to learn more than your mind can bear. The coup started early in the morning on the 15th of July. At 8.25 the first tanks stormed the presidential palace and a protracted battle followed. As Makarios saw that his presidential guard could no longer hold the palace which was crumbling under heavy artillery he left the place and drove in an adventurous and perilous trip to Paphos. He understood the coup was the work of the external forces that ahd tried to kill him earlier . The media were under control of these forces so that Makarios had no choice to survive and influence the course of events in Cyprus but by going abraod and making his appearance to influence the public opinion in the world through the UN forum where his position was strong. This didn't help much as Kissinger's inter-NATO solution through war made the UN quite irrelevant. > Ah, yes, "atrocities"--like the rape of foreign women and girls. In the West, this is a despicable crime, agreed. Yet, as one moves further east along the shores of the Mediterranean it becomes more of a "cherished tradition".< In any dysfunctional Moslem land of Oriental barbarity women are considered inferior to men and correspondingly treated like chattel. Women's beatings, rapes and honour killings are daily occurences . Whereas in other countries you may pick up here and there a man with a Moslem-like instincts ( there are plenty of such abnormalities among Moslem immigrants in Germany, France , the UK , Sweden etc.) , in Turkey this is as instinutionalized as in Iran or Pakistan. Mass rapes in Cyprus in 1974 were therefore not an act of this or that individual but were encourgaed and perpetrated under the aegis of the official Turkish organs and the Turkish army. And here is what the European Commission has found out in its 1976 report : "Mass rapes : Relevant Article of the European Convention on Human Rights: 'No one shall be subjected to torture or to inhuman or degrading treatment... (Article 3). Charge laid against Turkey: Turkish troops were responsible for wholesale and repeated rapes of women of all ages from 12 to 71, sometimes to such an extent that the victims suffered haemorrages or became mental wrecks. In some areas, enforced prostitution was practised, all women and girls of a village being collected and put into separate rooms in empty houses where they were raped repeatedly. In certain cases members of the same family were repeatedly raped, some of them in front of their own children. In other cases women were brutally raped in public. Rapes were on many occasions accompanied by brutalities such as violent biting of the victims causing severe wounding, banging their heads on the floor and wringing their throats almost to the point of suffocation. In some cases attempts at rape were followed by the stabbing or killing of the victims. Victims included pregnant and mentally retarded women. So, Turkish liar, instead of making up irrelevant cases and imputing to the others the crimes Turks are so notorious for , face the evidence ...or spin on your nauseating barbarian lies ! Anyway, it would be very funny to learn what confabulations and lies have you at hand about killings of US citizens in 1974 by the Turkish hordes. One young American's bones have been recently identified among other decaying corpses - victims of the Turkish aggression and bestiality. His name was Andreas Kassapis. He was an American murdered by the Turks. There are still the other American citizens missing since 1974 . Maybe you know where their corpses are to be sought ? Submitting....
