Where was Newt when you needed him?Reader comment on item: Romney Stumbles on Foreign Policy Submitted by Gerald A. Honigman (United States), Oct 23, 2012 at 22:07 Daniel, I was saying the same thing to the folks watching this with me. very aggravating. and Romney had some soft pitches that could have been hit out of the park that he ignored, like really exposing the Libyan fiasco; like the massive 2009 Iran demos that he failed to develop (supporting regime change then could very possibly have prevented this mess now); like O's mention of missiles fired at Sderot--when what O is trying to force Israel to do via a return to the '49 armistice lines will likely turn Tel Aviv into a much more highly populated Sderot; etc. Newt was my man--despite his alleged negatives. He would have devoured O last night. All my best, Jerry Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes. Original writing only, please. Reasoned disagreement is welcome but not comments that are scurrilous, off-topic, commercial, disparaging religions, or otherwise inappropriate.
