Bigotry Mr Schiffman? I take offense at your comments and assumptions

I am Jewish too, and I take offense at your assumptions about American Jews. I am very concerned about the relationship between Israel and the US, most especially at this time when the threat of Iran is looming. Anyone who willfully ignores this fact is simply foolish or naive. There are many many non Jews who would agree with me.

The truth is, there are a lot of American Jews, much like the German Jews once did, who affirm their identities as Americans and reject Israel. If you recall your history, that was what brought about the travesty in Europe that resulted in the State of Israel. You may not think your Judaism is a priority, but tell that to Daniel Pearl who agreed with you and yet was butchered savagely because- he was a Jew. The fact that many American Jews agree with you certainly does not prove anything at all, just that they have the luxury of ignorance and ingest democratic talking points because they feel righteous about the illusion of voting for helping minorities and the poor. And I am not saying for a second that being American and looking out for American interests is not first and foremost, I just do not believe that Israel and the US have differences in their best interests. Obviously, you do.

The fact that you crow about your children being ' liberal and educated' also proves the converse, that you believe that conservatives are uneducated. Nothing could be farther from the truth. Most of us Jews who have been mugged by reality realize that.

The most annoying thing about liberals is their hypocritical lack of tolerance for those who do not agree with them. There is no room for debate or discussion, just vile ad hominem put downs and attacks.
