Sally the RepublicanReader comment on item: Romney Stumbles on Foreign Policy Submitted by Irvin Shiffman (United States), Oct 28, 2012 at 06:02 Sally, I am not squirming nor am I in need of a good rebuttal. My children are all over 30 and for now we can leave them out of the equation. Romney is not going to perform miracles if he becomes president. He has totally neglected to tell the American people what he is going to do about jobs and the economy other then to say that he'll get them . He didn't say what entitlements he was going to go after for obvious reasons. An argument can be made for the fact that Obama saved the banking industry as well as the automobile industry and in all probability by the end of the next 4 years most of the jobs will be back. The oil industry in this country is really cranking up and within 4 or 5 years we could be rivalling Saudi Arabia in oil production. Do you really think Romney is going to go to China, our biggest creditor and tell them where to get off or that unless they do something about our trade imbalance and their currancy over evaluation we are just going to pay them back and stop borrowing from them. What about Israel. What has Obama done other then assure Israel and the American Jews that America will never abandon Israel and that an attack on them is an attack on America. So Obama said he was too busy to meet with Bibi when he was here. Did he threaten to cancel the billions in aid we give Israel each year or refuse to supply them with planes or spare parts they need to protect themselves. Do you think Iran is going to try to wipe Israel off the map. I remember Nikita Khrushchev, the Prime Minister of the Soviet Union during the cold war threatening to bury the Unites States and they had the nuclear weapons to do it and those were his words. We are still here and the Soviet Union isn't. Obama does not want another Iraq in Iran and neither do most Americans. You definitely have the language skills but I don't think you have the facts. I was alive during FDR's presidency and WW11, remember Harry Truman dropping 2 atom bombs on Japan , served in the military during the Korean war and know how terrible war is. We have the highest rate of suicide among our servicemen in the history of our country. That is why I want a peaceful Obama with a chance to bring this country back to it's former glory..
