Islamism is Islam

Although I didn't agree with it at the time (and probably still don't) I can't get what AC Grayling said out of my mind - that religion generally is dying and the troubles it is causing around the world today are its dying spasms. As Dr Pipes says Islamism may turn into something decent but it won't be Islamism. I suggest that Islam may turn into something decent but it won't be Islam because Islamism is not a radical new departure from Islam, merely a new but authentic face of Islam.

Look at Boko Haram for instance. Everyone is falling over themselves to tell us it is not true Islam but it absolutely is. Murder, robbery and sex slavery are exactly what Mohammed and his companions did and their leader quotes the Koran accurately to justify their actions.
