The Buddhists can surprise you

Your comments about the hapless Jains and Buddhists was apt, but when you look at Myanmar (Burma) it's instructive to see how the Buddhists there are quite the un-dhimmis. I'm not aplogizing for their brutality or the suppression of democracy in Myanmar, but it's interesting to note how Islamic excesses have infuriated Buddhists to the point of extreme violence. I guess even the most peaceful people have their limits.
