Minister of Science, Innovation and Technology Ofir Akunis was interviewed this evening (Monday) on the "Open Studio" program with Boaz Golan, on Channel 14.

At the beginning of his remarks, Minister Akunis said: "I still propose to separate the general prosecution from the advice to the government. We are starting a four-year term - the amounts of corrections are enormous. The reform will be large and broad."

He later told Golan that "just last week, from morning to night, I met all the CEOs one after the other, today there is an agenda in the Knesset - I said that at this stage I intend not to comply with the Norwegian law, therefore I will be both a minister and an MK. The minister also said: "I absolutely condemn the calls against Justice Minister Yariv Levin. There is no danger to democracy - people should understand that if they lose, it does not mean that democracy is in danger.

Understand - we are making correction these days, these days are the exact opposite of a danger to democracy. They are a real correction in a system that went beyond every rule and law and operated without interruption for many years."

On the subject of positions of trust, Akunis said: "A year and a half ago, dozens of CEOs of ministers from the Yesh Atid party, Labor and other left-wing parties - were quickly approved.
