8.1% Muslim Population of IsraelReader comment on item: How Can Israel Win the Palestinian Conflict? Submitted by Robert (United States), Jan 13, 2023 at 15:05 See here: https://www.cbs.gov.il/he/mediarelease/DocLib/2022/217/11_22_217e.pdf I maintain that the most important factor concerning an Israeli Victory involves Demographics and Citizenship. Israel has not determined its "de jure" borders precisely because of National and Democratic concerns. Israel has finally determined, legally, in its Basic Law (effectively, the "Constitution" as in the United Kingdom) that Israel is the State of the Jewish People; this is often misunderstood, especially by non-Jews, because "Jew" is both a Religious and National (or Ethnic) designation. Israel has been engaged in a Civil War shortly after the Balfour Declaration which legalized "close settlement," a term often overlooked, especially by anti-Zionist non-Jews, who have turned the term into Apartheid settlements by Israelis (Jews). How, or why the right of "close settlement" by Jews in the ancient homeland of the Jews must make "national" homes for Bedouin Arabs is really a matter of concessions to the oil-rich Arabs, especially Saudi Arabia in its formative days. But now Sunni Muslim Saudi Arabia needs Israel as an ally against Theocratic Shia Muslim Iran! This (above) is all a prelude to the demographic-democratic issue. Whether or not there will be some sort of Palestinian entity in the West Bank does not preclude the theoretical possibility that it have an 18.1 Jewish population. In fact, there should even be a political claim that Jordan is an Apartheid state because no Jews are allowed to live there, legally, politically, or free of Antisemitism and anti-Zionism. The only places where the Palestinians appear Victorious is in the International arena, such as the UN General Assembly, the Muslim and Arab leagues, and the Left and Liberal wings of the West. Ironically, the wedge which Israel achieved occurred during the Presidency of Donald Trump where the Wealthy (UAE & Bahrain) and Distant (Morocco & Sudan) finally added themselves to Egypt and Jordan as Peaceful Coexisting states along with Zionist Israel. Accordingly, there needs to be a Solution to the Palestinian Statelessness Issue. Palestinians are, by the way, Arabs, and as such can "easily" integrate with other Arabs, especially those in recently depleted and destroyed states of Iraq and Syria. Israel should demand, in the first place, that all Arab countries recognize the "right" of all Palestinian Arabs to live as Citizens of any Arab majority country. Israel needs to be proactive on this issue. In summary, to achieve a Victory, it is necessary to recognize that the Palestinians have been defeated Militarily on several occasions; Israel's "War" is with Antisemitism and anti-Zionism on the Global state, and only secondarily locally with the Palestinians outside and inside Israel and the Disputed Territories. Accordingly, Israel should, most emphatically assert its International Right to Close Settlement on both sides of the Jordan River, as explicitly enunciated in 1917 and thereafter in the Palestine Mandate. If there is Apartheid in this Region of Palestine, it is that practiced by Transjordan (now Jordan) against not only Jews, by against Palestinians in Cisjordan (West Jordan); in particular, all Palestinians have a Self-determination (National) Inherent Right to live among their Brethren - in today's Jordan. Unfortunately, possibly because of the Holocaust, even Israelis do not have the Chutzpah to assert this right on behalf of all the Palestinians. Israel should assert that it will make, economically, Jordan more than a borderline failed Arab Muslim State. It has the means to bring Gas and Water out of the Mediterranean Sea and Water from the Air. It is also a Global Leader in Digital Technology. Unfortunately, to a great extent due to the history of Racism against its former Slaves, the United States has made it inherently almost impossible to assert Jewish and Zionist Excellence and Exceptionalism - because "Superiority" is a "dirty word" (unless you're a boxer, rapper, dancer, or basketball player, "jazz musician," ..., and happen to be "black").
