Submitted by Prashant (India), Jan 18, 2023 at 23:13 Dear Dr Pipes, My point about ideological wars within a society being distinct from violent wars was subtle but I agree that governments should not even participate in ideological wars. Thanks for your comment. Come to think of it, the separation of church and state is a subcase of the more general idea that governments should not participate in ideological wars. A bit of new learning for me.
