"Castro , Stalin , Mao and Moslem dictators(generally) won. Hitler and Milosevic lost. Pol Pot actually lost but was never brought to justice. It is the winning party that decides who the heroes and the villains are. Who wants to side with losers? It is questionable, but hardly strange."

the so called glorious ottoman empire collapsed, so i wouldn't call the turks victorious, so it's not entirely true. Also the abuse that the ottomans did to people from balkans is not often told on hystory books, as well as the stalinists gulags are hidden.
