Clear the Dust PlatoReader comment on item: Britain's Encounter with Islamic Law Submitted by Mansoor (Pakistan), Mar 15, 2008 at 03:19 I am happy that your mind factory has started working in a positive direction. I just want to clear some rust from your heart which is causing you to see the verses of Quran with altogether negative perspective. In your reply you specially mentioned the Surah Daybreak, and attempted a tafsir with your perspective. I appreciate that you made it very easier for me to reply. 113.001 - 005 In the light of Above Surah, you said This surah should be a guideline for you. It asks you to seek refuge from the evil that Allah has created. Read it again, that is what it says: That Allah has created evil and He then wants you seek refuge from it. Unless of course, the Lord of the dawn is different from (He) Allah. That would put you between a rock and a hard place (The Lord of the dawn and Allah). And then the Lord of the dawn says that utterly dark nights are evil so run to him (the Lord of the dawn) for protection. Also run to the Lord of the dawn for protection from witches who blow on knots to do evil. Now we see that the Koran accepts witchcraft has power over you. As for the ayat about the envier, I grant you that a human envier can do you harm unlike witches, dark nights and Allah. Now see the above Surah according to My perception. Let's suppose you have built a very great beautiful house. Your house is full of Garden and luxuries and every comfort. It has Gardens, Pools, Wash Rooms, Kitchen, Heaters and of course electrical appliances with outlets etc. Suppose you have children in that house, for their safety you would constantly prompt them to secure themselves. You would say to your child "Don't go towards the Pool its deep and you will fall down because you can't swim". "Don't put your finger inside the electrical socket it will hurt you". Don't enter the kitchen and don't try to switch on the burner you will get burnt. Don't run fast on the floor its slippery you may fall…" These are warnings in the best interest of your children" Similarly our Lord warns us from different things and just because we don't know about the negative impact attached to those creations. A sincere advice from our Lord is so easily rejected by us. The point is, we should accept that somebody has created us. From the initial stages of our birth till the end of our life passes through an extremely complicated and well engineered system which is itself a sign that our creation has a very significant importance. If we deny that very easily it is not in our best favor. A long debate of Why God needed to create the whole system, with many diversifications is beyond our thoughts. It would be better if we discuss that how best we can say thanks to our Lord who has chosen us to see all the luxuries, colors and comforts of life. Do you know that from how many sperms your father wasted, only you were lucky to get life. Because, you were God's chosen one. Do you know how many people are there on earth and you were chosen to see the colors of life with your family, friends with good health. Because you were specially chosen to see and experience all this. Thinking this way would make yourself feel very special. When you see miseries, cries, illnesses and many bad phases of life experienced by people in the world, you begin to thank even more. Just try to open your eyes. Our Lord is not asking any price for what you are enjoying, All he wants to identify him, say thanks and follow his commandments which are not very difficult to follow if seen with a positive eye. The kind of life you are in love with is not at all your chosen one, it is a gifted one, better understand Plato… My reply is getting lengthy but I want to open the closed doors. May be you will again reject my way of thinking again..But better think this way when you are alone. Allah is just prompting us. Not sending his army or police to comply. It is only our inner check and balance system which has to be activated. That is very necessary.People here are seeing Islam on the basis of practices of very ill minded people who have not even read a single verse of Quran and call them Muslims. I am with you when you point out many atrocities you see in Muslim society but it is purely the dictatorship of men who have taken control of things without being allowed and without understanding the limits. I hope I have succeeded in washing some dust from your heart.
