re: the bigger picture ( response to chris: April 11/03)

I was reading your response (chris) to an article by daniel pipes and at the end you wrote to email you for futher discussion so I am doing just that ..
here are some more specific facts

first off you say that Muhammad (sallalahu alaihi wasalam[ peace be upon him]) "did his share of attacking ... he militarily took mecca back " ... the people of mecca oppressed him soo much they plotted to kill him...

"And (the unbelievers) plotted and planned, and Allah too planned, and the best of planners is Allah." Al-Qur'an, Sura Aal `Imran 3:54

So many times but he never was killed by them the people of mecca were pagans.. a tribe called the quraish and they opressed all the people who accepted islam plus for three years they had a boycott against the muslims and some died because of it.. after it was revealed to him to go to madina to live because he was being oppressed and people were being killed.. the jews who lived in the city of madina (there were threee main tribes) plotted against him and broke treaties that they had signed and then war was declared (there were about three -four of those while the prophet (pbuh) was in madina). Also he peacefully went to back to mecca for the annual hajj (pilgrimage) but the quraish were going to kill him and start a war but a war never happened because they just surrendered, no actual fighting occured.. Also some tribes did not surrender but accepted islam because they knew it was the truth
(whether you beg to differ ) so it wasn't just that he started a war because he wanted to..They were very barbaric and they did some horrifying things to people who accepted islam

Secondly .. "bin laden hates america" . Yes that is probably true ..But i cannot say for sure because i have never met him much less talked to him.. and yes he probably " feels that his culture and way of life are being taken over by america" and that also might be true but probably not because: he has quite a large familly and is a multimillionaire and he has three wives and children yet it is solely his choice to live without electricity, without running water in a mud house without the luxuries he could have but chooses not to live with (yes before he was even in hiding).

But that is NOT why he is a "terrorist" . Basically he used to live in saudia arabia and was a close friend of the royal family .. during the 90's american soldiers sent troops to saudia arabia to 'protect them from terrorists' so he moved out of the country ... non muslims are not allowed in the arabias (the whole arabian peninsula not just the city of mecca or madina .. there is a hadith about it and a treaty was signed by jews and muslims and also it was commanded by God ...so he wrote a letter to the royal family after and told them many times to get the troops out of saudia arabia but they never listened ( thats why there was 9/11 /war on america) ..

That is why he hates americans ..actually how do you think he (bin laden) got his money?? (maybe the us actually paid him hint hint) ... Nothing is wrong about business and it was encouraged by the prophet (pbuh) and he even was a businessman (and quite successful without being a crony, or lying or cheating). In addition to that muslims made many advancements in science math and other fields as well just like america and japan are today (and coca cola is boycotted by some muslims because proceeds of their profits go towards the war between palestine and israel but that is another discussion)

if you are playing poker.. well one day or another you're going to lose.

yes actually it would be quite easy to end the US
