Yes, Samira it does. You see Islam is the only religion that prescribes its violence and hatred. I'm sure you are a good muslim and you dont follow your religion to the letter, but there are many who do. You see in many ways those that do hate and kill are probably following the written word more faithfully than you are. That the majority of muslims do not act in the way the Koran or Hadiths instruct them to has more to do with apathy and ignorance than anything else. You see, you are applying common sense and compassion to your faith. ie you are choosing to ignore those teachings that may have been relevant to the past, but certainly have no relevance today. You choose to be a modern muslim. There are many driven be the literal interpretation of the muslim teaching that do not.
