To Sam, Lactantius and dhimmi, from a MUSLIMReader comment on item: Islam in American Textbooks Submitted by Ibn Masud (United States), Mar 13, 2009 at 01:35 Sam I commend your humality, at least you admit that you are "no scholar" even though you just harassed our self-made scholar "dhimmi" by putting him in a difficult situation by mentioning the "fights of muslims with jews" which is true. I don't want to insult the so called "scholarly" email of Mr. Dhimmi no more. He speaks from his mind rather than evidence. But you are CORRECT and so is Lactantius (he speaks with evidence from Hadith). According to Sahih Hadith, there is a plenty of evidence that there were many many villages and tribes of Jews especially in al-Yathrib (Madinah) before and after the death of Prophet Muhammed (Pbuh). Banu Nadhir and Banu Quraidah are two large tribes that come to my mind. They were both punished by the Muslims for commiting TREASON against the small, community of Muslims (Jews had signed a peace treaty with the Prophet but they secretly aided the army of Kuffars of Quraishi Makkans against the Muslims of Madinah) . Muslims defeated the kuffars and then punished the Jews. Matter of fact one of the wives (Safiyah) of the Prophet was the daughter of the chief of the Jewish Tribe. It is well know fact among the Muslims eveywhere. There is a 2nd Hadith comes to mind: The Prophet, on his death bed advised his best friend Abu Bakr, to expel (his order should be taken as an Order from Allah) all the Jews from Hijaaz (Makkah and Madinah). So after the Prophet's death, Abu Bakr sent his well know friend Umar Ibn Khattab to announce to the Jews to leave the Hijaaz and settle in Najd (Eastern states of Saudia). All the Jews were given land and homes in Najd to live there in return for their land and properties in Hijaaz. A 3rd Hadith comes to mind: A young Jewish boy used to sit in the company of the Prophet. One day the Prophet did not see him and inquired about him. He was told that he is very ill. So the Prophet went to his home to visit him, and at the end of the meeting invited him to become a Muslim. The young boy looked up at his father and his father told him: Obey Abu alQasim (Kunya of the Prophet). Then the boy recited the Shahada and became a Muslim. It pleased the Prophet, as one more sole will enter Paradise with correct faith. A 3th Hadith comes to mind. One of the highest ranking Jewish Rabbi became a Muslim and he used to help the Prophet in the matters concerning the Jews. His name was Abdus Salam. It is well know story, when the Jews came to the Prophet looking for his opinion on one of the Murder of their own community. The Prophet asked them: What does your Torah say about a Murder? Then the Jews brought read him the verses of the Torah from their scrolls, but cleverly hid one verse from him (since the Prophet was un-lettered) which spoke about an eye-for-an eye. At this point Abdus Salam told his former religious brothers NOT to hide the truth and expose the verse you are hiding under your hand. A 4th Hadith comes to mind: A Muslim lady was shopping in the open market of Jews for vegetables, when one of the Jew pulled down her Niqaab (or Sheet that covered her) and exposed her infront of everyone (still happens to Muslims in Isreal, doesn't it?) at this point that Jewish man was punished for his crime. A 5th Hadith comes to mind: After their punishment for Treason, the Jews devised a plan to kill Prophet Muhammed (just like they killed John the Baptist, Zakariah, and even tried to kill Jesus- and thats one of the BIG reason the Muslims also hate Jews becasue they killed many Prophets of Allah unjustly- It answers your 2nd question now). So all these examples tell us there were many Arab Jews in Madinah and Makkah. But you guys were given the land full of OIL and money (Eastern part of Arabia and Dubai etc), but you blew it. WE the Muslims are STRICTLY ordered by our God to live peacefully and speak NICELY with the people of the Book (Christians and Jews). And may Muslim leaders in the Past have shown this with their practice. Please see the happy times of Jews under Salah ud Din Ayyobi in Palestine and in Muslim Spain. But the history shows that the only time Jews were attacked, when they themselves devised a Plan/Plot against the Muslims or waged war against the Muslims or committed Treason against the Muslim state. Jews live peacefully in Iran, Morrocco, Iraq, Yemen and even Syria under these Muslim rulers (eventhough these rulers are not fully practicing Islam. Imagine if they fully obey Islam, then the Jews will be even happier) In the end I admit regretably that the Jewish history has been brutal, but they have only themselves to blame. Because their leaders make MAJOR mistakes, that come back to haunt them and their children. All the Hadith that Mr. Lactantius mentions are correct. The trees and mountains WILL tell the Muslims about Jews hiding behind them. But many ulemas believe that will happen at the second coming of Jesus, when he will come and aid the Muslims against the Jews and all the kuffars for their MAJOR mistakes and aiding the Dajjal (anti-christ). Majority of the Muslims, some Christians and even Jewish Rabbis believe that time is very near. Ibn Masud
