Dates picking time and Islam was indeed spread by the swordReader comment on item: Islam in American Textbooks Submitted by dhimmi no more (United States), Mar 31, 2009 at 18:47 Our dear Shaji who is really a confused tablighee ...whose ancestors the hindus were brutalized by Islam and Muslims and who leaves some islamic hell hole and move to the UAE so he can escape what islam has done to places like pakistan and whose masters the arabs would regard him as another maskeen... >Islam "spread by sword" is another widespread misconception. Really? But wait: the Qur'an a book that you cannot read in Arabic says: iqtollo al-mushrikeen aka ayat al-sayf. Right? and how is this qatl of al-mushrikeen is supposed to be? Let me help you: it is by using the sword and do you know why this means mr ignorant? It means that as per ayat al-syaf the mushrikeen in Mecca had one of two choices and they are: either convert to Islam or the mushrik will be killed by the sword! Oh the Arabic? I do not translate Arabic for wannabe arabs like you And do you know what this means? It means that islam at least in the case of al-mushrikeen fi Makka was spread by the sword! and do you know what this means? It means that your claim is bogus! So how come you did not know that? could it be because you are ignorant? or could it be that you already know but you were hoping that we infidels do not know and in this case you would be and you must pardon me a liar. So are you ignorant ? Which one is it? >Noted historian De Lacy O'Leary in the book "Islam at the cross road" (Page 8): "History makes it clear however, that the legend of fanatical Muslims sweeping through the world and forcing Islam at the point of the sword upon conquered races is one of the most fantastically absurd myth that historians have ever repeated." Well then i proved that both you and our dear O'Leary to be wrong! You think you should write him and tell him that he is ignorant or a liar just like you? >Actually it was the Sword of the Intellect that conquered the hearts and minds of people. gobbledygook. I think if you would have said that to the pagans of Makka they would have thought that you are out of your mind. So are you out of your mind? > The Qur'an says 16:125 - "Invite (all) to the way of thy Lord with wisdom and beautiful preaching; and argue with them in ways that are best and most gracious." But wait: your Allah says that this life is all about al-qada' wa al-qadr. So this means that your Allah makes us infidles and we have no saying in it and in this case it means that you are going against your Allah's little doctrine. But wait: 1. Could this be a case of the funny Allah changing his mind doctrine aka al-nasikh wa al-mansukh? 2. Or your Allah is asking you to help him to spread the religion of the Arabs and why is that? could it because there is no Allah? or could it be he has to ask mere mortals like you to spread islam because he is not omnipotent? So which one is it? 3. By your little da3wa you are working against your Allah's grand plans which means that there will be no 72 virgins or boys of heaven >Regarding your quote from Imam al-Ghazali, he already clarified this aspect in his Epilogue of Fiqh-u-Seerah, " ROTFL your masters the Arabs would finsd it funny and it is al-fiqh wa al-sira and do us a favor: stick to urdu >A few days had not passed since the Prophet's (peace be upon him) death when Islam became entangled in a fierce struggle with paganism, which suddenly came back to life, and Christianity, which controlled the north of the peninsula, prevented anyone from entering Islam and stopped its spread by force". Oh pagansim! Right? so you pray to an unseen God right? let me help you: there is no difference except in the mind of an ignorant Arabs that shall remain unnamed and this is pagansim. You kiss a black stone and you venerate it and it is located in al-ka3bba. Right? well this is pagansim. You venerate Muhammad and you even pray to him Well this is shirk and pagansim. You kiss and venerate a book that is made of paper and ink and it is called al-Qur'an well this is paganism. You adore and venerate a city by the name of Mecca. Right? well this is pagansim. How come you did not know that?So would you like to change your bogus history our dear Shaji the wannabe arab? I urge you to stop being a slave of the Arabs and a victim of their imperialism and be free again Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes.
