A sad event, but tragically very common

I somehow missed coverage of this event until now.. It happened very close to Sydney Hospital. I know the place, from some 50 years ago. It sounds like a local nut gone ballistic -- the sort of thing that happens all over the world. It even happens where I live, in western Oregon. Because the attacker had lived in Australia for some 20 years, I would chalk it up as a local incident.

My condolences go out to the families of all those killed.
