I thought I had replied to this; but it might not have gotten posted for some reason. Just to let you know I read what you said, let me comment on this:

"I understand there are political alliances in OPEC and the OIC - but they do not hold true and fast - with agreements shifting all the time amongst many fair weather friends. What underlies them all are their islamic populaces and their grievances brought about being told they are the best of humanity - yet on the whole , live as the worst. And the numbers of people willing to cause mass carnage , even wanting to die to bring it about and at the same time thinking they are getting massive a massive nod of approval from mo/allah. No doubt as Iranian self-styled cleric - Man Monis - the Sydney siege hostage taker , did."

There are alliances a'plenty in the Middle East, and I've even tried to keep track of them. I draw lines on the map, and they turn into bubbles, then bubbles-within-bubles, perhaps merging with Ezekiel's "wheel within a wheel" vision. They they divide, pop and re-form. Middle Easterners are prone to invite their enemies to the peace table, then stab them in the back with the dinner knife. "Alliances" don't mean the same to them as they do to us.

With the latest burst of "home-grown" terrorist attacks around the world, I must concede to you that Man Morris was very much a part of an international plot. His MO was basically the same as the others; and he parroted the same Islamic BS, which he probably got from the same sources -- the mullahs and the internet.

I wonder, Waza. Are we trying to come up with answers here, to life's persistent questions. Is this whole Daniel Pipes clan trying to make sense of and solve the world's problems? I think there's a fat chance that we'll do that, but I do enjoy chatting with people like you.

"Solve the world's problems". "Tikkun Olam" -- "Fix the world". I get a picture in my mind, of the Jews thinking of themselves as Atlas, carrying the world on his shoulders. I guess that's self-flattery, thinking of themselves as Atlas. The Muslims also seem to have a picture of themselves, as blowing everyone up and conquering the world for Allah. That's also self-flattery; but if I had the choice, I'd rather have a Jew living next to me, trying to carry me on his shoulders, than a Muslim, trying to blow me up. Islam is a religion that was founded by a military leader, and built upon shed blood. Anyone who denies that, has zero understanding of history.
