Showing respect to the Muslims...

...the same way Muslims show love and respect for the others. For example (in October, 2005):

"Nearly 5,000 faithful gathered after Friday prayers as they exited from a mosque in the Moharem Bek area in Alexandria and proceeded towards the Mar (Saint) Girgis church," the interior ministry said. "A police force tried to prevent the protesters from approaching the church and attacking it, but they did not heed police warnings and stoned the church, the force and passersby, which resulted in injuries," the ministry said. "This left the police with no option but to use tear gas to disperse them," the statement added. The crowd dispersed and then after Iftar, they came back again, and this time the violence turned deadly: One Muslim protestor was killed and dozens more wounded in violent clashes with police in Alexandria amid mounting tensions in the Egyptian Mediterranean city over a Christian video, the interior ministry said. Following an earlier demonstration that had gathered at least 5,000 people, Muslims angered by release of a DVD by the Saint Girgis Church grouped outside the building again in the evening after breaking their Ramadan fast. But why stop there? I will show the same respect and love as was bestowed upon the 241 American soldiers and 58 French peace-keepers killed in Beirut in '83; or upon the 271 passangers of the PanAm jet in Lockerbie in '88; or upon the 171 passangers of of the jet downed in the Niger desert in '89; or the 18 Marines of Mogadishu in '93 (and that was a spectacle of love and respect!); or upon the 259 dead in Nairobi and Dar in '98; or upon the 3,500 in NY and DC in 2001; or upon the 202 tourists in Bali in 2002 [credit be given to O.F. for the sweet facts-and-figures of love and respect] or upon the scores of dead on car bombings throughout the decades; or upon their host countries, from whom they ask everything, but give nothing in return. Or when they do, it comes in the form of utterances of hate and destruction (in the words on Ann Coulter: "The little darlings brandish placards with typical Religion of Peace slogans, such as: "Behead Those Who Insult Islam," "Europe, you will pay, extermination is on the way" and "Butcher those who mock Islam." They warn Europe of their own impending 9/11 with signs that say: "Europe: Your 9/11 will come" -- which is ironic, because they almost had me convinced the Jews were behind the 9/11 attack.")

I am ready to show my respect! I hope others will join.
