That's right - but it is so much more the case when it comes to the Koran.

Well actually, no - I don't remember that at all. . It was not reported in the media to any great degree. What happens in the jungles in the 3rd world Phillipines rarely makes headlines. So the question then is - why have you - as a muslim - heard of it? Were you scraping the bottom of the barrel looking for examples Christians who commit violent crimes?
How many tadtad were there? But that location does jog my memory a bit now that you've mentioned it. Why is that? let's see.... ah, yes the Moro Liberation Army. Lo and behold - look what we find:

And it seems they are not regular Christians - but a small group of jungle dwellers who hold a mixture of animist and Christian beleifs. hardly people who are going to sip tea with the Pope. It's not like they're educated people like Dr. Hasan of Ft. Hood fame or anything.

well, people feel strongly about the issue but how many murders have there been really - 20, 30 - 50? Compare that to how many Muslim on Muslim and Muslim on infidel atrocties in the same time period - and you'll find it dwarfed by a factor of ten. And the number of causes for muslim disatisfaction is also far greater . Just so much disatisfaction all round. They're pissed off at everything - democracy in Europe, women not wearing bedsheets, cartoons, dogs, pigs, Jews, cartoons, anyone who thinks they're a sick joke.....

Why have you put RETURN in apostrophes? It's either a return or it is not. What would you use otherwise - 're-arrival' or something. It's OK to use English workds in this forum - everyone understands their meaning. Or were you implying something else.? I thought even muslims belived in a return. But of course in muslim eschatology the 'prophet' is not to be outdone (there, I used apostrophes - but for a very specific reason) - Jesus returns to make way for Mighty Mo.

As openly admitted - we do have our fruitcakes, no denying it. But the difference between ou fruitcakes and muslim fruitcakes, besides vastly smaller numbers - is that in general ours are medicated - many receive treatment for diagnosed psychiatric conditions. They don't get lauded as martyrs posthumously while their relatives collect Saudi money and imagine them happily bonking 72 virgins in a tent. They don't get applauded for spouting supremacist diatribes from lecterns in mosques. They don't walk around in head to ankle black bags in the heat of high summer.

hey, why the crocodile tears on that one? You can't have it both ways. Many muslims were very happy about that. Some were overjoyed - even dancing in the streets - just like they were when they heard the news of 9/11.

What do you find so interesting about that? The fact that I'm not diverting focus away from the myriad crimes and human rights abuses by Muslims in many, many countries - and on to one group of non-Muslims in one other? If you want - you can find a blog somewhere that complains about Hindu mistreatment of minorities - mention that you're a muslim - and become involved in some interesting exchanges. I'm not interested. Hinduism doesn't present to our western cuklture - which you so happily enjoy and benefit from in ways you hardly realise.

No Christian or Jew holds the 'popular fallacy ' that that ALL christians and Jews should NEVER be accepted as friends and/or Allies... We are talking specifically about Muslims - as you well know.
No other religion mentions by name which group of people should be avoided. Abd while we're at it - no other religion promises - 'leave the religion and you die'. No other religion has such barbaric punishment prescribed for misdeeds as Islam.

But I digress. You have deftly avoided answering the points of the original email where I mentioned "Your energies would be far better placed if you could loudly and actively protest against the behaviours of those more devoted Muslims in the countries mentioned." Why aren't you doing that - because your Islamic 'mesaage' is falling on deaf ears here. Actions speak louder than wordas - we'd rather see you clean up your won act before lecturing us on how to live in our own countries.

I also said:
