corroborate your 'source' with a Quranic quote!Reader comment on item: Turkey: An Ally No More Submitted by Ianus (Poland), Dec 5, 2009 at 07:33 havas wrote : http://www.itibarhaber.com/haber-arsivi/arastirma/9325-tuerkiyede-dindarlik-arastirmasi this is my source-unfortunately in turkish--. < I happen to know something about that Prof. Dr. Ali Çarkoğlu mentioned in your 'source' through a friend of mine - Prof. M. Hinich. They wrote together a paper on Turkish political landscape using Hinich's spatial theory of politics. Strangely enough, I have recently discussed the issue with the latter as I questioned the validity of the notion 'Turkish secularism'. From what he wrote about Çarkoğlu I infer that he is a typical overprivileged Turkish opportunist with close ties both to the old ruling caste and the new emerging Islamist power. Such people tend to have friends and express their sympathies to both side just not to lose their privileges (they call these privileges nowadays 'secularism'!) in case the other side starts 'reforms' against 'secularism' upon which so many people's privileges in Turkey depend nowadays. In particular I learned the following about Çarkoğlu "My friends do not go to a mosque, they do not read the Koran nor do they care what is written there... Ali and Gul had their son circumsized so as to have him fit in. Their son takes violin lessons and goes to a French school. Ali went to a French Catholic school in Izmir as did several of his close friends. Ali is often seen on various TV news shows where he talks about their politics. He and his friends are not worried about their speech UNLESS the AKP changes the constitution and then accuses secular Turks of not being Muslims. The ideological conflict is about what a Turkish moslem is. People like Ali say that they are Moslems but they are very close to being athiests." In other words, Professor Ali is circumcised, has his son circumcized "to have him fit in", calls himself a Moslem but he still pretends to be 'secular' and so in his own statistics he will put himself as a 'secular' although the term has no verifiable meaning at all among Moslems and serves rather to mislead the Westerners. He will add cases like that of his own and so he can easily arrive at any number just manipulating with semantics. Turkey is too deeply corrupt, dishonest and mendacious a country to take what is oofficialy said at its face value. Just look at you and all the lies you have been trying to spread here, Havas! You're a typical representative of your dysfunctional nation! The facts on the ground speak their own language , without Turkish distortions and secularist travesties. "Today, Turkey has over 85,000 active mosques, one for every 350 citizens—compared to one hospital for every 60,000 citizens—the highest number per capita in the world and, with 90,000 imams, more imams than doctors or teachers. It has thousands of madrasa-like Imam-Hatip schools and about four thousand more official state-run Qur'an courses, not counting the unofficial Qur'an schools, which may expand the total number tenfold. Spending by the governmental Directorate of Religious Affairs (Diyanet Işleri Başkanlığı) has grown five fold, from 553 trillion Turkish lira in 2002 (approximately US$325 million) to 2.7 quadrillion lira during the first four-and-a-half years of the AKP government; it has a larger budget than eight other ministries combined. The Friday prayer attendance rate in Turkey's mosques exceeds that of Iran's, and religion classes teaching Sunni Islam are compulsory in public schools". > atheizm is very suitable for your character. There is no alternative to Truth ... > christians and jews together with muslims are believers and will go to heaven.< Allah has a different plan for them ; e.g. "Lo! those who disbelieve, among the People of the Scripture and the idolaters, will abide in fire of hell. They are the worst of created beings." So Allah tells them they will go to hell and you Havas knows better than Allah. I have always suspected that Moslems are solipsists, hence their rage, hatred and lies when reality pops up. > and ı dont know where you will go,atheist.but ı can guess. I have already commented on your legendary guessing performance , haven't i? ;) Frankly,... any place not bismirched and poluted by Islam and Moslems will be a paradise for me!
