Legitimising the Enemy.

Very informative article. Included many facts I was not aware of. Some of the things the Israeli government has done have left me absolutely bewildered:

i) Israel "helped Gaza by subsidizing water and electricity, also facilitating water desalination plants. They proposed international support for an artificial island off the Gaza coast with a port, airport, and resort. They even gave Gaza a gas field". Were the Israeli taxpayers aware of this act of folly?

ii) The story of Palestinians attempting to blow up the Israeli hospital that previously treated them shouldn't come as a surprise me as I recall similar sentiments being described by Brigitte Gabriel in her book "Because They Hate". What surprises me is the Israelis putting up with this mindless hatred.

iii) "During the Hamas-Israel war of 2014, the Israeli electric company sent technicians to repair electricity wires going into Gaza destroyed by a Hamas rocket, at risk to the lives of its employees". This is crazy!

iv) Israeli government "opposes the U.S. government slashing aid to the Palestinians." Really? I thought the Israelis would have applauded this action by the US. What's happened to Benjamin Netanyahu, he lost a brother fighting these people (Entebbe, 1976).

v) "When a U.S. president gives the green light, Israel's prime minister needs to act on it". I think Trump already has, by cutting off all aid to the Palestinian Authority.
