On the Road to Victorious Israel - In the Eye of the Storm of Political Islam

Dear Daniel Pipes,

As you are aware by now, I believe you misunderstand President Trump by focusing on his media blurbs. But he is someone who talks to the workers, many of whom have lost their livelihood to China's economic miracle made possible by HenryKissinger's "peace" with China. President Trump is based on an instinctive genius for political action on a global scale. What he said he would do in his election campaign he has done from the very beginning, and continues to do. He hasn't pulled a surprise yet!

In that context, let us momentarily focus on the Palestinian side of the "equation" for Peace. In Gaza there is the De Facto administration of (mostly) internationally recognized terrorist organization Hamas, while the "West Bank" is ruled by the De Jure administration of the Palestinian Authority headed by un-re-elected "dictator" ill and aging Mahmoud Abbas. From that perspective, President Trump knows by instinct that he can do whatever he wants regarding whats best for the Arabs and Jews in the Israel-Palestine territories. Trump is "simply put" Napoleon after a Military Victory. Netanyahu is like one of Napoleon's brother, say Joseph Bonaparte, King of Spain and the Indies. Accordingly, whatever is happening in Israel under Bibi is consistent with Trump's Tactical and Strategic policies. And as a "business man," Trump sees Bibi as one of his Senior Executives with Discretion in a Division of the United States - Israel.

But as as Napoleon's realm of ambition expanded even beyond continental Europe, Trump's vision includes the large periphery surrounding Israel. Unlike Obama, who attempted to pacify Iran while alienation Saudi Arabia and its Gulf satellites, Trump from the beginning of his administration embraced the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia effectively restoring its prior "vassal status" (of the United States).

In this context, Israel should be seen with the aid of "the Eye of the Storm" metaphor. The storm which continues to this day is the tail end of the Arab Spring which began in December 2010 in Tunisia. However, this "storm" had its roots in the "global" Political Islam of Iran in 1979 when the Shah was deposed under US 444 day President "Apartheid" Carter (444 stands for the number of days American Embassy employees were held prisoners by the first Iranian Revolutionary Guards; "Apartheid" is the word in the title of a book by Carter published after he left office, and it is his description of Israel outside its 1967 Armistice Lines, especially in the context of the Oslo Accords). As News Cycles shift, and new Generations are born, perspectives change,and distortions set in among the prejudiced and uneducated youth especially.

So Israel's long-term Victory must be viewed outside of the relatively calm "Eye of the Storm" which is Israel, Palestine, Egypt, and Jordan. In particular, what is happening in the rest of the Arab and Muslim countries, particularly Iran and Turkey. It appears there are good Current Events exposing the failure of Political Islam (I like this latter expression more than "Islamism"). In English at least, one should recall the wording of the 1917 Balfour Declaration, which was adopted by the League of Nations in 1922 in the Mandate for Palestine. The Jews are recognized not only as having a National Home in Palestine, but only they have Political rights within its realm of territory. Accordingly, "Political Islam" names theories in which countries with majority Muslim populations are to be informed and imbued in the drafting of their Constitutions, their Basic (Fundamental, Political) Laws. The good news - for non-"Islamists" - is that "Islamism" is being recognized by Arab and Muslim young intellectual, the Intelligentsia, as a colossal failure.
