THE ATLANTIC: "You've lost, get over it." – Trump TeamReader comment on item: Why Israelis Shy from Victory Submitted by Robert (United States), Sep 20, 2018 at 14:41 Dear Daniel Pipes, At least one of the experts below held administrative positions in the US government, as you and your late father, Dr. Richard Pipes, had. In their article [linked below], at least one of the authors accurately describes and summarizes the Policy of the United States regarding the Israel-Palestine issue. At the very least, it should assure you that President Trump WILL NOT present Israel with even an iota of a "Victory" less than Maximum. That said, I would like you to read their Analysis very carefully, and respond with your alternative view of what is to be done, in practice, other that what is already being done, by "Big Satan" and "Little Satan." I assume you will not recommend war-like tactics at least not until after November 4, 2018, when US Iranian Oi Sanctions are set to be implemented? Regarding that issue, don't you believe that Israel's bombing of Iranian military ammunition targets in Syria is sufficient? Do you not think that Israel's relation with Putin in Syria is in the best interest of Israel, in the long term (Russia effectively backing "Shea" Syria)? At the very least, I think this highly informed article, by a Clinton and Obama administration strategist, should have you admit that Trump has fulfilled your (as the saying goes) your "wildest dreams." The Opinion part in the article which needs addressing by you, is the hypothesis that, in effect, the Palestinians need some "appeasement" by the Trump Team, other Economic or Material. In addition, I recall the view you hold that since Oslo the Palestinians have been ungrateful for any gains on the ground. But I doubt you would advocate Palestinian further impoverishment policy - or would you? But there isn't for Jewish Israelis to advocate Ethnic Cleansing of Palestinians, since this Violates Jewish Law (no Jew in his right mind do such a thing to Palestinians). You haven't addressed the issue of what Israel should (or not do) now that Trump locked up the Treasury as to funding Palestinians. How does Israel further its "Victory" regarding the latest Trump-impoverished Palestinian Demographic? Should Israel "simply" ignore this newest reality unleashed by the Trump Team on almost every Palestinian, Refugee or not? "Trump Is Reinventing the U.S. Approach to the Palestinian-Israeli Conflict" "Instead of acknowledging the political and national aspirations of the Palestinians, negotiators are focusing on material and economic concerns."
