HQ 9:29 should be read in context for ypu to know the truth. The said christians and Jews spoken of there are those who declare sided with the enemies of Islam, and had war against the muslims. It is clear there those groups of the people of the book have no peace covenant with the muslims, hence they are hostile to muslims and never pay jizya or tax to the muslim government.

Because you interpret the said verses badly out of context, then it just indicates that are idiots or just have small brain to understand the truth and context behind the said verses!!! No wonder you reject and attack Islam, because in the first place you are pretending to be wise and broad-minded without knowing the fact that you are just a victim of yourr own ignorance and biases! You have simply no command of the subject under discussion!!! So better stop that attitude...

Were all of you wise and broad-minded enough, you will discover the truth that the said verses should be read in context like verses HQ4:89-90 and 9:1-12. Those verses were revealed to Prophet Muhammad during the time of war between the defensive muslims and the agrresive disbelievers and their supporters.

verses 4:89-90 was revealed when muslims face the defection of the hypocrites and join or supports the enemies who are at war with muslims and bent on killing or annihilating muslims as soon as possible!!!!

And 9:1-12 and your verse HQ9 :29 were revealed during the time time when Muslims have concluded a covenant with the disbelievers in Mecca and still facing some hostile group of the people of the book. and many of those disbelievers/hostile parties who are signatories of the covenant did not follow the covenant, and are still attacking and bent on killing the Muslims at any time posible!

So in context. the said verses should be read and interpreted during the context of war and when muslims facing the enemies who are in the purpose of killing them!!!! In fact, in verses 4:90, 9:4, 9:6-7 Allah is expressely commanded the Muslims to be just and humane and not to kill or they should not at war with those peaceful people who love peace instead of war and killings!!

In 9:4 allah had commanded Muslims not to include in their counter offensive those disbelievers who remain peaceful and still honor the covenant, and only those who violate the covenant and still at war with muslims is allowed to be killed during their defensive counter-offensive fight ,as indicated in 9:5. The group of disbelivers in 9:5 are still at war with Muslims and their treacherous attitude is further described in 9:8-10.

Then how did you interpret the said verses above? You interpret it using perhaps... the general command for muslims to kill all infidels and apostates, may it be those apostates or infidels who are at war to muslims or at peace with them!!!! No wonder they hate Islam, because they are simply burning themselves of their hate by their own ignorance and foolishness!

You also mentioned about barbarians who embrace the religion of their subjects, but you are not aware that only in Islam did it happen, in the case of the Mongols but no any instance that it happened in history!!! The history of christianity is all about conquest and forcing the people at the point of the sword to embrace Christianity!

It is clear then that it is : dhimmi no more" who has no command of the issue or subject under discussion! For your information it is the Persians who had adopted the Arabic alphabets and the Mesopotamians or Iraqis are just also speaking arabic! what a shame!

The most indicatory evidence that you are ignorant of the issue under discussion is that you differentiate Hijaz from the middle east, where in fact Hijaz is part of the middle east!!! Are you sure you know what Hijaz is? Hijaz is in Arabia. it is a vast of land comprising from Mecca and its sorrounding cities, medina up to the wilderness of Jordan and syrian, all of which are in the middle east!!!! what a shame on your part!
