Oh .... I agree with you. Though holidaying in Egypt is quite fun. And I want to see Syria for all the history too.

UK has changed its tune these days ...... not the same place as in history that I was discussing. Besides the freedoms I enjoy the mild weather too. And I haope all the Muslim countries could enjoy the good freedoms too.

Now its a pity you didnt spot the point I was trying to make. Or had a ready response to dole out without even trying. Many cultures and societies have to put it rather mildly, dark pasts. So does Islam in many respects. But unlike many societies such as the British and their history. Islam does have a unique past and point in history. Its the only religion that has an "Empire" (for lack of a better term). For exmple Christianty too is a massive comparable religion but is not even metioned in the same terms. There is hardly any mention of a Christian Empire. Muslim Societies in past have . Now a lot of the Western countries have reconcilled their pasts but when it comes to Islam. Why is Islam the only one with bloody past? When it clearly is not. When I do point out the Wests past in a negative light that does not mean I can or anyone else can deny Wests many termendous achievements.

Christians too have had a massive bloody past? or are you going to deny it. Personally I do not think of it as much of great religion. Its built upon one of the weakest ideologies ever in a religion. That is the reason its done so bad against rise of Secularism. It shattered. With some chunks holding on.

Lot of societies have changed and I dearly hope Muslims do too . But rather than the model that Europe went through of major secularism and giving secularism more of a voice of religion. Which goes against democratic principles to an extent too. Now a lot of the back-pedalling which the West seems to be doing looks like its more against its own values. OK Islam brought up the issue and is a major contention point. But you can ideology and geographically defines MUSLIMS and leave them to it too sort out. Muslims do not have to go the same way. Islam was a and is the guiding light. Its was in its past more successful that West past ever was. I am a Muslim afterall and I believer in the religion. I want that to be force for Muslim thought and culture (like it used to be). Rather that Western one. West can stay in the West. With peace and all my love. :-) Interactions happen all the time.... people move about the globe these day than they ever used to. Let me ask you a question .... why do christians go and work in USA if its such a hateful place. And why is there USA military there?

As far as kicking out extremists go I agree with that too. Although thats probably not going to happen with the ones already here. Best thing is to profile all people coming in to a country. Not just Muslims. And there is nothing wrong with that. Having good immigration control is a sensible thing to do. How can you be agaist that is beyond me.

But immigration is often needed. I do not know much about the situation in USA. But I do know that it is needed in Europe. With a declining birth rate among white caucasians (whose fault is that? and that is a big question.) How the hell is Europe going to play with the big boys of India China USA and Russia? Europe is divided into smaller countries but united through ideology, that is pretty much the same. People and new Ideas is what it needs. For example the take the recent Dutch reation where immigrant especially north african Muslims havent assimilated and have become a burden on society... its not really the same in UK. Where there are many Muslims emerging in Politics, Sports, Art, Music, Literature, Business and etc. There are certainly many successful and rich Muslims here I can tell you. Although some communities of Muslims do better that others.

I am known Hypocrite among Muslims too. My kind generally are. But I get by.
