Iran's Preparation is Found in the Hebrew Holy ScripturesReader comment on item: Prepare to attack [Iran] Submitted by M. Tovey (United States), Jun 12, 2008 at 18:36 Everyone who has done any reading or listening to this post or the media at large knows that the issues in the Middle East can, at any time, go from being barely contained to outright inflammation from one media broadcast to the next, and even during. It is in the continuing clash of Middle Eastern ideologies that the fuel for conflict is little more than badly managed rhetoric spread among audiences of like minded thinking, which is then is allowed to spread to other audiences who are not of similar thinking, thus provoking a response. In moderated social circles, that response sometimes in the past would be verbal, a debaters' exchange. We know that by historical and recent experience, such exchanges go to blows quite quickly in the Middle East. Here in this latest post we have a speculation of how quickly the discussion of a nuclear capable Iran can provoke just such an exchange. We have been exposed also to the Israeli posture that if their estimates of Iran's capabilities are more than generally accepted by the world convocation, they are not likely to wait for a consensus to act. In the bigger picture, can we blame the position of the United States for not wanting Iran to have nuclear weapons, especially in light of the ‘increasingly bellicose position' of that country's leadership, to borrow a phrase of the essay? There are plenty of U.S. targets in range that have been threatened. These have all been discussed in the view of potential America foreign policy changes as the presidential masthead prepares to change names. Does America expect that the Middle East will wait on such changes while Middle Eastern combatants exchanges firebrands over the fuse of their discontent? But there is more, so much more that can be drawn to, that the premise discussed here may have a flaw in the thinking. There is in Hebrew Holy Scriptures a proverb, so to speak, that before one wages war, the cost should be counted, essentially to see if it can be brought to some manageable conclusion. So it is here. There should be planning, preparation, anticipation of problems and development of strategy and tactics to consider(which Iran as done). This is typical when one wants to start something; to defend requires the mirror of such things to be looked at. So, if Iran is out there saying provocative things, daring any comers to just try something, just try; they are saying they will respond, not in a measured way, but in a way that gives all who consider such thing much to consider. After all, Iran has had decades to think about this time of Middle East provocations, and by all appearances, they just might be ready to pull it off. It is any wonder that Israel's military apparatus, who probably has the best sources of intelligence on such things, is saying the time for waiting is over. As much as there is world attention in American politics, and other nations sometimes will gauge their world posture according to the tone of Democratic or Republican party rhetoric coming from Washington DC, there are many who have such disdain for such American things that they will think and act in spite of what may come from America. Israel will not postpone what is necessary for that nation's defense, unless specifically, there is a compelling reason to do so. This was seen in the first Gulf War, where the Senior President Bush asks the Israelis' not to respond top the Scud missile attacks. Courageously, they held back. It will not be so this time. Iran has been plotting for these times since the return of the Ayatollah Khomeini from France in the 70's. In his exile, he had plenty of time and plenty of discussions with co-conspirators to plan the re-establishment of the Iranian Islamic Republic, and of the influences such a political ideological entity could wield in a world that had lost its primary moral guidance long ago. Only a residual influence of Biblical morality could be drawn upon to hold back the perception that Christianity had lost its principle hold on western thought as country after country fell into a secular mindset of humanist philosophy to solve social issues, much to spectacular failure. This is what the Ayatollah counted on, and was proven correct as the former Soviet empire could not overcome the ideology of their Afghani foes. American interests fared little better, this being proven with the Iranian hostage situation. Over the years, we can see that the circumstances of this underground conflict is still running according to plan, like a peat fire, smoking and flaming here and there when a little oxygen gets in and tempers flare out of control. For America, identified as an enemy as much as Israel for shielding Israel, there is the attack on the Marines in Lebanon, the World Trade Center, take 1, the USS Cole and the Khobar Towers and the World Trade Center take 2, just to name some of the big ones. Further, America is declared to be a target along side Israel if any pre-emptive attack is made against any Middle Eastern nuclear target. For Israel, the stakes are much higher, much closer, and much more the reason the United States should be taking a closer look at the combat response options for execution, if determined as being required, cannot wait for the elections. Israel will be the reason the United States goes to war on a greater global scale than as already engaged. Israel, when they see the final provocation, will not wait. Neither will they be in a position to see what the United Sates is going to do if they do act, tacitly counting on the policy statements of the current administration and the promises of the potential future one, if a Republican wins the office. No one can predict the action of the promises of unproven dialogue in the alternative of a non-Republican American presidency. In prospectus, it does not appear that summer will be too far finished before the world finds out just how close to really bad things are. For this observation, it will be repeated there is only one place to find understanding as to what is being prepared for an unbelieving world, the Hebrew Holy Scriptures. It has the plan that is being followed, no matter who actually starts the next provocation. Its preparation has already been done according the Word of the LORD Almighty God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.
