Response to Straight_Talk_Luigi /5 Prayer does not equal arroganceReader comment on item: Prepare to attack [Iran] Submitted by Nura (United States), Jul 1, 2008 at 01:40 I'm starting to think that living anti-Islamic can be a great thing. First of all, you have already made up your mind about Islam. Then you should be very happy with it now!! I think that we should try something new and have a country that actually practices it. The khalifat is the goal and obligation on the Muslim Ummah. The fact that no one has reestablished it is a shame, however, we know that it will be re-established and Muslims will be re-united again, it has been prophesied. There is nothing wrong with nationalism, so long as it is done in good taste. There is in Islam. We are Muslim, we should have no national allegiance. All allegiance should be to the Ummah. If anyone is suffering in the Ummah, it is the problem of the entire Ummah, not just one country. That is why you have NATO, EU,UN ect. The West has agreed to this idea. This doesn't make sense because Islam by its very nature isn't perfect. No religion really is. I believe that the only form of perfection to exist is the Trinity. See, this is a very bias statement. I beg to differ, Islam is the perfect religion. I would hardly call the trinity a perfect doctrine. It has flaws upon flaws. For the record, Nura, I'm not the West, "you Christians" "you Americans" or you anything. Honestly, when you say that you look terribly foolish. I think that your arguments are the template for every Western Christian! That is why I put you in the same boat, you are shouting the same arguments. There are also many evils in the Islamic world that haven't gotten here yet. Although, I could have done with out, well, slamming airplanes into Manhattan skyscrapers. Yea, well Muslims could have done without "shock and awe". See below. Actually, it's really only Catholics who pray to the saints, and we ASK them to intercede on our behalf, since they are already in Heaven. How many intercessors do humans need? Didn't Jesus already intercede for man? I'm sorry but it is worship. You should pray to God and only God because he is the King and he is in heaven too. Then you are essentially recognizing the legitimate word of the prophets of the Old Testament. We do too, it's just that they say Jesus is the Son of God. Have you ever read the Quran? It mentions the name of Moses more than Muhammed(PBUH). You can not be a Muslim unless you believe in ALL of the prophets, all of the books(Torah, psalms of David, the Gospel of Jesus, and the Quran), the angels, the Day of Judgment, heaven, and hell. This is basic faith. The prophets of old never mentioned trinity or Jesus(of course he was not born yet) I have a sincere question for you. You believe that Muslims limit God by not believing in the Trinity "God can do anything argument (which is really is an atheistic philosophical question)," however, you believe that God cannot exist except in three. How did he exist before the birth of Jesus then? If you were to say that he already existed, which is really no evidence of that. How could he continue to exist when Jesus was separated from him in the form of a man. Jesus was humble; however he clearly said that he was the way. It is only through him would the Jews know salvation, right. He could have cleared up this trinity issue in a sentence. Why was Abraham never taught of it? No, Muhammad was never mentioned in the Bible or the Torah Oh, but he was. Jesus spoke of someone coming 12"I have much more to say to you, more than you can now bear. 13But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come. 14He will bring glory to me by taking from what is mine and making it known to you. 15All that belongs to the Father is mine. That is why I said the Spirit will take from what is mine and make it known to you. I have to admit when I saw this verse tears came to my eyes. Why because it is so clear. Some truth in the Bible still remains, only a Muslims can see this truth. he will speak only what he hears, This is exactly what the Prophet(PBUH) did! When he received revelation he would recite it as he heard it. This is why we recite the Quran. and he will tell you what is yet to come, There are extensive prophesies of the Prophet(PBUH) of the future. 14He will bring glory to me by taking from what is mine and making it known to you. The Quran is the protector of the Bible. It is the completion of the word. The comforter JOHN 14:25, 26: "All this I have spoken while still with you. But the Comforter, the Holy Spirit whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you." JOHN 15:26: "When the Comforter comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who goes out from the Father, he will testify about me." JOHN 16:7,8: "But I tell you the truth: It is for your good that I am going away. Unless I go away, the Comforter will not come to you; but if I go, I will send him to you. When he comes he will convict the world of guilt in regard to sin and righteousness and judgment...." Christians argue that this is referring to the holy sprit, the third part of the Trinity. It's interesting because Angels are called holy spirits in the Bible, so was John, Mary and a few others. Holy Sprit was used to talk about a righteous person for all humans have souls. How it came to be a part of God, you got me there. What? That sounds like something from witchcraft or reincarnation? Who knows what happens to devils after they are exercised? Maybe some are sent to hell? The Church teaches that some are allowed to operate in the universe. Hey, I didn't right it. 8:32 And he said unto them, Go. And when they were come out, they went into the herd of swine: and, behold, the whole herd of swine ran violently down a steep place into the sea, and perished in the waters. 8:33 And they that kept them fled, and went their ways into the city, and told every thing, and what was befallen to the possessed of the devils. \8:34 And, behold, the whole city came out to meet Jesus: and when they saw him, they besought him that he would depart out of their coasts. Mathew 8 Jesus put the devils into a herd of pigs. I already know Muslims who take God's name in vain, and I would say not believing He is the Son of God is the worst thing you could think of Him. I will say that associating partners with the God is the worst sin; Unforgivable. Didn't Jesus say that Your God is a jealous God? Did he not say that your God is one? It is important especially for visual learners. I know you must've learned about this at university. Having an image of Jesus is a beautiful thing. What are you learning? It is an idol! So I guess idol worshipers have a reason too. He didn't even look like those pictures anyway! He wasn't Caucasian with red, blonde, even brown hair. He didn't have blue, green, eyes. In fact, No one knows how he looked! What are you learning but the need to worship a God that you see. Not a very good lesson. Your image is not of Jesus. No, wonder people won't recognize him when he returns. An Arbitrator between yourself and Almighty God is what you are refusing. Know that Mohammed cannot do this. Your pride and arrogance derived from his sadistic view of the world and Holy Testimony of the past could cost you eternity. We will all have eternity, that is certain. No more death for the damned or the blessed. For arrogance, we sure pray allot. How many times a day do you prostrate with your face on the ground in front of your Lord? I pray 8-10 times a day as most Muslims do. We have five obligatory prayer, but we like doing extra. Allah! There is no god but He - the Living, The Self-subsisting, Eternal. No slumber can seize Him Nor Sleep. His are all things In the heavens and on earth. Who is there can intercede In His presence except As he permitteth? He knoweth What (appeareth to His creatures As) Before or After or Behind them. Nor shall they compass Aught of his knowledge Except as He willeth. His throne doth extend Over the heavens And on earth, and He feeleth No fatigue in guarding And preserving them, For He is the Most High. The Supreme (in glory)." What more could I ask for? Submitting....
