response to Straight_Talk_Luigi/3Reader comment on item: Prepare to attack [Iran] Submitted by Nura (United States), Jun 28, 2008 at 21:37 "No, but you've implied many times that the Middle East and North Africa are some kind of paradise compared to America" You misunderstand. How can I say what I don't believe? I very well know the problems of these countries. You know what the biggest problem is? They do not follow Islam, another secret. There is no one Islamic state in this world. There are states who implement some Islamic laws, But Allah's laws are the greatest which is the problem. The very existence of these countries are anti-Islamic. There is no Nationalism in Islam. Nationalism is actually relatively new to the Islamic world. Another gift from the West. There should be no kings In Islam, Monarchies are un-Islamic, they border disbelief. For this I am not surprised of any corruption that may go on in these countries, when you don't follow Islam corruption is the result. My argument is that the West really has no room to criticize. Despite the corruption that exists in these countries, there are many evils that exist in the West that these countries have not followed, yet. "Nura, the punishments you refer to are in the Old Testament. I am a Christian-Catholic and am not bound by the Old Laws which Jesus of Nazerth abolished. I get this argument all the time from atheists and gay rights advocates. Very Interesting statement. What is amazing is that Christians fail to remember that Jesus was a Jew who came to the Jews!! The Jews that fallowed him did not stop becoming Jews. Jesus observed the Sabbath and followed the old laws! If he came to change the laws why didn't he start with himself? Furthermore, what you are saying is not supported by the Bible. It is what I call "Doctrine worship" rather than God worship. Christians follow the Saints more than Jesus(PBUH)! Jesus (PBUH) said: "Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill." Matt. 5:17. He said this when he was speaking to the Pharisees. It is very clear that Jesus came to reinstate the laws that were corrupted by the Jews. He came to Fulfill the prophesy of Moses, May Allah be pleased with them both. "For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one title shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled." Verse 18 Muhammad(PBUH_ was the last fulfillment which is what this statement refers to till all be fulfilled. How is this not clear enough? He came only to reinstate the old laws that were taken from the Torah. Christians are supposed to observe the Sabbath, yes, this is a very strict rule in my Church (all the more reason for all to attend). Interesting statement! Why? Is it not because of the commandment of Moses? So then there are some old laws you follow. When do you observe the Sabbath, Sunday? The Sabbath is not on Sunday. It's on Saturday which starts Friday when the sun sets. I used to observe the Sabbath, Christians don't observe the Sabbath. Furthermore, I will ask you why the Sabbath was changed from Saturday to Sunday. It wasn't Jesus who changed it. It fact it happened hundred of years later. I'll leave that for you to research. SUN DAY literally. If you choose not to eat pork, Nura, that is fine. However, it is permissible in Christianity. Where is your proof? You will not be able to bring one statement by Jesus that he abolished the old Law of prohibiting pork. It is a falsehood that has been attributed to the religion. This is why when Jesus returns he is going to kill all of the swine. God has not permitted the flesh of swine, Man has. In addition, do you remember when Jesus cast out the devils. Where did he put the souls of those devils? Swine! He put the devils that he casted out into a herd of swine which then ran into the ocean. I think this should give you a clue! "Because you refuse to see Jesus for who He truly is." You will not find ONE Muslim who will speak ill of Jesus(PBUH). We respect him more than Christians. Each time we say his name we say: "May Allah have peace and blessings upon him." EVERYTIME. What Christians do that? Muslims will not so much as produce a picture of him! Unlike Christians who have "graven images" of him everywhere. Jesus is who HE said he was. A servant of God. This is how Muslims see him, how he saw himself. What am I refusing? A doctrine that did not develop until over 300 year after his "death", I should say disappearance? The doctrine of the Trinity is hardly orthodox Christianity. That is another discussion. "You are not always presenting facts, Nura. When you do, it is done in a biased manner that clearly caters to Islam." You don't have bias? Bias is a term that is often used to blanket the validity of arguments. We all have bias, but I believe that I am coming from a perspective that few people have. I have Christians, Jews, and Muslims in my family. In fact I was raised according to the Old Testament. I said the Pledge of Allegiance in school like many children growing up in this nation. I have had the privilege to have lived out of this country for a total of 4 years. I think that this exposure makes me less influenced by bias thinking. I am a realist. "I would say you still are biased. Being an American has nothing to do with it." Unrest in this country is not unknown. American has always had distrust in their government and you will find Non-Muslim Americans saying much more than I am. Who are the conspiracy theorists in this country? So what is the "American" mentality exactly? I challenge your assertion that Muslims are converting to Christianity. It sounds like evangelistic rhetoric. The truth is, there is no way of knowing who is "actually" converting. Especially when the largest amount of Muslim converts are said to be in war-torn impoverished areas . It does not bother me either way. This is the time of "sorting" for believers. The anti-Christ system separates the believers from the non-believers. There will be Muslims who will me mislead by the system and the anti-christ himself. As you stated, Missionary accompanied explores, I wonder why they did not oppose the horrific brutalities that these explorers were doing to the native peoples. In fact, they participated. Missionaries are workers of the coming anti-Christ, that much is apparent. Muslims are interested in quality not quantity. I would rather be in the company of 10 strong believers that 1000 weak ones. Muslims were doing better when they were smaller in numbers. I wouldn't mind that return. "I hope your Father converts back to Christianity, and I will pray for him. The reality is, Nura, Muslims are converting because they want hope and to feel the presence of Christ in their lives" Perhaps he would be more comfortable; Perhaps I would after all Christianity is the religion of prestige. Prestige is what the followers of God never has. It is never popular to be a believer even amongst those who call themselves believers. A true Christian would be an outcast in a society of Christians just as a true Muslim is an outcast amongst Muslims. Any religion that has as much Prestige and money as your religion, could not be the right religion. It is not possible for those whom Allah gave "Nur" which means the light of guidance to a person could they return to darkness. It's just not possible. In short, this religion could not be pried from my cold dead fingers. I love it more than my own children who I would give my life for many times. It is this intense love that the West does not understand. This is why I must share this with my family whom I love dearly. Finding Islam is like finding a mountain of Gold that no one sees although they pass by it everyday. It is not enough for me to enjoy the gold, I want to share it. If only they knew how wonderful it is! I want to share it because it would make me more happier knowing that my loved ones are benefiting from it. I want my family to experience what I am experiencing. If only they could feel what I feel. Congratulations to anyone who discover this gleaming mountain and shares its treasure that has no end regardless of how many takes from it. I swear by the Lord of the worlds, they will be among the successful.
