Curmally: The only freedom that has been taken away from Muslins is the freedom to keep slavesReader comment on item: Dueling Fatwas Submitted by Plato (India), Oct 15, 2010 at 11:10 Curmally, you wrote to aspacia: >>If Saddam killed a million of his people, how is it your concern?<< If the Israelis kill a few thousand agitating and violent Palestinians how is it your concern? If the Indian Army shoots dead looters and raiders in Kashmir (and some innocents sometimes intentionally, sometimes as collateral damage) how is it your concern? Did you stop or prevent Hitler from killing 6 million Jews?<< They stopped Hitler from total elimination of Jews from the world and in doing that they also lost lives in the millions. >> Did the Dutch peacekeepers in Bosnia at Srebrenica prevent the Serbs from carrying out a massacre of Muslims? << If the West had not intervened against their own kind there would be no Muslims left in Srebernica. >>Have you heard of Muslims carrying out genocide to wipe out a people?<< Estimates of Hindus and Buddhists killed in the Muslim invasions and rule of India have been run to around 60 million. How about Armenians? How about Bangladesh? How about Darfur? How about the Marsh Arabs? How about the Bahai and Zoroastrians in Iran. Islam also indulges in cultural genocide. Whole cultures are destroyed and made to resemble Arabian desert tribal culture. Muslims have to pray towards Arabia, they have to pray in Arabic even if sounds like gibberish to the faithful. Muslims are made to think borrowed science and maths (very little ground breaking discoveries or inventions by Arabs themselves and what there is, is by non-Arab Muslims). Everything before Islam is considered jahiliya, ignorance. Mr. Curmally your ancestors, if you care to accept them as such (many Pakistanis invent Arab ancestry) were more cultured, learned and humane than what you became later. You are a victim of the cultural genocide committed by the followers of Mohammed. >>On the contrary, my wife is the ruler of the house and no one challenges her authority. In her absence my daughter-in-law will takeover the house and run it and no one will question her authority.<< Why can't Muslims get over this ruler and ruled complex? Why cannot you be an equal partner in your home with your wife? And why can't your womenfolk be equal partners of men outside it? You seem to need control in all situations in life. >>We accord this respect to our womenfolk.<< But, sir, your prophet did not accord womenfolk any respect. In his last sermon he equated them with animals and prisoners in the hands of men (Ibn Ishaq and Tabari). Why would you, a devout follower, give them this respect? How can one respect anyone who the law says is a degree below them and that they may be thrashed if the husband fears disobedience on their part? Your Koran tells you that during their monthly periods they are unclean (so for nearly a quarter of a year they are unclean). Your scholars tell you they are deficient in intelligence because of their emotional nature (whatever that is), >>let me assure Aspacia, we don't want your freedom.<< It is quite obvious from the Koran that Allah does not want freedom for Muslims. Islam itself means submission and you submit to whatever is in the Koran however unethical or immoral some of its verses are. You also consider yourself slaves of this phantom being. You also are so fearful of Allah's messenger you cannot even say his name without superstitiously murmuring PBUH. So much for the Islamic kind of freedom. >>We want our freedom to think and live as we choose. God's world is large enough for all of us to be and do as we choose.<< Now whoever prevents you from thinking and living as you choose? Who is enforcing infidel values on Islam. You have constitutions that are sharia compliant in the Muslim world. You keep pressing for sharia compliance in other countries. Halal meat is freely available even though your method of slaughter inflicts needless cruelty on animals. We are disgusted and horrified at the pain those animals suffer so that you can have halal meat on your tables, but we tolerate it to humour Muslims. You keep your women under wraps fearing the evil eye of strange men. Your media carry strange stories about the happenings in the outside world. Even in the infidel world you do very much as you choose. You build mosques pretty much wherever you want and scream murder when a stray mosque is disallowed. In India thousands of mosques blare out the greatness of allah without let or hindrance five times a day jolting people out of their sleep before dawn. You can set up interest free banking if you wish. Where, pray, can you not think and live as you choose? The only freedom we have managed to take away from Muslims is the freedom to keep and trade in slaves. Even now Muslim scholars from the motherland of Islam proclaim that slave keeping is an Allah given right for Muslims. >>It is only when one tries to enforce one's beliefs on others that conflict arises. Now what would your prophet have to say about this statement? You are saying one should not enforce one's beliefs on others. What was Muhammad's sunnah on this. For the Koranic injunctions on enforcing Islam on hapless victims of Arabian imperialism read Koran 3:85, 3:83, 9:33, 58:21. 61:9. All of them say that the message given to your messenger is to ram it down the throats of anyone who fell into his hands and which he did quite enthusiastically. Which is why it was the sunnah of the prophet to give three choices to his victims: submit to Islam, pay a humiliation tax or fight. >>This si a sword that cut two ways.<< Yes, enforcing one's beliefs on others is a sword that cuts two ways as you have put it so nicely and as you are discovering in Pakistan and the rest of the Muslim world to your cost, both physical and spiritual. The sword of Islam has cut down the beliefs and cultures of many a people. I don't have to name them do I? Now you feign innocence from the brutality of the past to enforce Islam and try to accuse the rest of the world with what you have been doing all the while under direct instructions from Allah. With Regards Plato
