IM MARRIED AND SO HAPPYReader comment on item: Advice to Non-Muslim Women against Marrying Muslim Men Submitted by Jessica (Canada), Dec 9, 2022 at 19:25 HI EVERYONE AND LANA, I just got back from Morocco last saturday. flew to Morocco on November 4th and finally gotten married on November 23/2022. its just crazy took us almost 3 and a half week to complete all paperwork, went to the Canadian Embassy get our declaration of single status and certificate of nationality (im a moroccan citizen now. lol) then have to got to Fez to have it all translated, it takes few days to get it done and translated. then have to go to the notery and noterized all paper work. plus we need 8 passport pictures for each and every document. we need all my paperwork all translate in arabic. my birth certificate, my passport, my canadian citizenship, my bank statements, my employment letters, letter from RCMP canada, single status letters, it take so many days to get it translated in Arabic then have to go back to the embassy of canada to get it stamped. plus also have to go to the court in Rabat to get it stamped and noterized. and Mohamed do the same with all his paperwork, birth certificate, moroccan citizens, passport etc. also needs to get it stamped and noterized and take it to the judge and the police.. OMG so much work and so much running around from Rabat to Fez, because mohamed was borned in Fez his birth certificate was from Fez so therefore we have to married there in the court wiht 2 adouls. all tthe works going back and forth is such a headache. so finally on november 23/2022 it finally all appoved and the judge and adoul signed our wedding certificate then we have to go to canadian embassy for stamped again and take it to the translation and have it all translate in english. this is not for faint of heart. so much procedure and patience for us. then after its translated to english we have to get more stamped from the police and the judge again, it just crazy going back and forth. 2 sets of marriage certificates. one for me and one for Mohamed. the marriage of certificate looks more like an 2 pages essay. lol then the marriage certificates in canada. Mohamed is such a wonderful husband. he did everything for me and taking care of me so good. you can see all my wedding pictures on my facebook. i make it public. after 8 years we finally married.. even the judge and the adouls were so suprised they say to me you got a good man there who in the right mind waited for a woman for almost 9 years. he spends so much money on me. almost 20 thousands for the wedding.. my diamond wedding ring cost him 2000.00 canadian money which is almost 20000.00 moroccan dirham. and his white gold ring 600.00 canadian dollar. i have 3 wedding dressess with the tiara on my head.we have our reception in our apartment. i was sick with omicron the whole time i was there. i have horrible headache, chills, and fever, and my bone hurt. he feed me medicine 3 times a day and cooked for me chinese congee and spoon fed to me in bed. he is such a good husband. dont want me to do anything and treated me like a princess. on the day of the reception i got my make up, hair, nails done at 11pm. meanwhile mohamed have to pick up the 2 layer cake and chairs, and food, he did everything by himself, without anything of my help..i brought my own money. i want to buy souvinir for my siblings and daughters and friends and he doesnt want me to spend any of my money at all. he said hes my husband now and he provided me everything. all his money..since the day i met him till now i never spend a dime. each time i paid for me plane ticket, and our flat, food, transportation, and carried for me everything. one thing i dont like is the weather in Rabat, its warm in the afternoon like 20 degree but at night in our apartment its so cold no heat. i felt so cold all the time. wearing 2 sweather at home and 3 blankets. and my cough never stop. i think morocco gave me brochitis. i can hear myself wheezing when i cough.. never happens to me in Canada.. In canada is very cold but inside the house are so warm not like in morocco.. oh and my husband is going crazy about world cup soccer.. they won so many game.. i told them i brought them luck from canada.. they won Canada last friday, and they won Brazil the other day, street cars are honking like crazy.. you can see it in my video. tmorrow my husband is anxious will watch Morocco vs Portougal . i hope morocco will win again lol. morocco is a country suffer extreme proverty, still a third world country. cant even compare to Canada.. everywhere you go people are asking money. i told my husband mohamed if one day no one ask us for money we will win the lottery. lol they ask you to buy little package of kleenex all the time. and garbage are everywhere in Fez and Rabat, i will never live in Morocco. No air conditioner in the summer and no heat in winter. I felt so much better when i come back to Toronto, everything is so nice and clean and no one ask for money on the streets. after the wedding we went straight to Marakech for honeymoon for few days. i was so extreme tired and so is mohamed. we havent slept for 48 hours. our apartment was a mess thanks to his sisters and relatives cleaned our apartment for us. his sisters is extremely nice to me. i came back 5 days already and still is so tired. all the running around the Morocco. for those who are intersted looking at my wedding pictures can goes to my facebook.
