Response to Fazal on rape lawsReader comment on item: Pope Benedict Criticizes Islam [in Regensburg] Submitted by Jan (Belgium), Sep 26, 2006 at 16:57 My dear FAZAL, I am an ex-muslim. My apostacy came after studying Islam carefully from the source. I specified those sources (Quran, Hadith, Sirah) in another posting to you. Those sources are the naked truth. However, if you have any better sources than that, feel free to indicate them to me and I will study them as well. After leaving Islam, I did not start to hate muslims. 70% of my family is muslim and I continue to love and care for them like before and I hope I can convince them one day that Islam is a big lie. One of the main reasons for my apostacy was that the islamic sources depict Mohamad as a very evil and unhuman man. And all sources are quite consistent in their depiction of him. There are ample cross-references between the Sirah and the Quran and between the Hadith and the Quran. And I can not accept that such a man could be chosen to convey any kind of divine message. In addition, I would expect a divine message to have some consistency and clearness, like for example the 10 commandments given to Moses. The Quran gives a hard to understand and confused message with contradictions and corrections because obviously it was Mohamed who composed such a poorly-written book. Mohamad had numerous slips-of the-tongue which are too obvious to miss: in several Ayahs, he is talking about Allah in the first and third person in the same Ayah where it is clear that the first person is Mohamad and the third is Allah. If the Quran were written by Allah, it would not be full of situational issues which Mohamad needed to get out of trouble or to curse his ennemies or to solve problems with his numerous wives or to commit what was incest at that time and still now in most societies. Some muslims claim that the Quran represents a clear and complete book of law. Can you imagine a book that is so confused that it needs 15 books of tafseer to understand the meaning? For me, muslims prove that the Quran is poorly written by the very Tafseer that they write about it. A complete book of law would include the way how to deal with rape. This is an important issue for all women in the world and their families as well. Allah should know this. However there is nothing in the Quran or the Hadith to deal with it. As you might know, 80% of women in Pakistani prisons are victims of rape. And the Ulema in Pakistan do not find a clue in the Quran and the Hadith to get out of this situation. What a shame! And you follow those same Quran and Hadith books that put those women in jail as if being raped is not enough! For your information: those women are in jail because of ayah 24.13 "Why did they not produce four witnesses? Since they produce not witnesses, they verily are liars in the sight of Allah." The explanation is the following. A woman is raped. She goes to the police to report the rape. She knows the man and tells to the police who raped her. By doing this, she is admitting that she had sex out of marriage. They bring the man. He denies. She can not produce 4 witnesses. He goes home. She is put in jail for admitting she committed Zina to an unconfirmed person, which would lead to stoning if she is married and flogging if not married according to Shariah. Of course the Pakistani justice system is at a loss of what to do, because they know that the shariah is too cruel to apply, so they do nothing and the lady is left to rotten in prison. The ulema do not have a way out. This type of absurdity proves that the Sharia is a perversion of logic. The Turkish know this. They took adultery out of the penal code, not to encourage adultery, but because it proved that the law is mainly used against women and everybody knows that it takes two to tango. They used their common sense. You told that you believe in Women's equality. Well Islam tells that they are not equal. The Quran equals married muslim women to prostitutes where the mahr constitutes a lump sum payment for practically unlimited sexual services until they are discarded like rubbish which is then called a divorce. Muslims have become experts at literally raping the truth about Islam and they are also lying to themselves. YOU TOO ARE LYING TO YOURSELF. Your Prophet told that the majority of the inhabitants of hell are women, while everybody knows that most of the people who steal and kill are men. FAZAL, stop lying to yourself, Please.
