It is unislamic to burn churches?Reader comment on item: Pope Benedict Criticizes Islam [in Regensburg] Submitted by Maggie4Life (Australia), Sep 26, 2006 at 19:07 Tariq, as is typical of the deceit that is practised ... your comments are the exact opposite of truth. First I will deal with the slur against Pope Benedict with regards to Nazism. If you had ever bothered to read the truth, rather than the lies that are printed for the gain of those who hate anything to do with the Catholic Church, you would know what really happened when Josef Ratzinger was just a boy in Germany at the time of the rise of the Third Reich. All were required to attend the Hitler youth. There were no exceptions. It was compulsory. It was not something that was done on a voluntary basis. So, Josef and his brother Georg were forced to go along to Hitler youth sessions, except that Josef did not attend. The young Josef Ratzinger refused to go along to the sessions, and his school teachers did nothing to discourage this young man's bravery in standing up to what he believed to be wrong. Also, when he was forced to participate in another way, he in fact deserted, and so he never did operate any equipment that was meant to stop the bombing of German cities. In other words, the alleged Nazism is just fluff. Now to your points about a lack of tolerance. With regard to the visit to Auschwitz, I doubt that any Jew wants to be reminded that Christians also perished in the concentration camps. Ratzinger has not denied the holocaust, like Ahmamonkey in Iran. The Pope acknowledges that evil happened in Germany and Poland at the hands of the Nazis. AhImamonkey denies the deaths of over 6 million Jews, plus at least as many Christians. At the same time he denies the deaths of the at least 300,000 who were euthanaised because they had imperfections prior to the outbreak of the second world war, and the implementation of the final solution. The real Nazi is that freak who is the current president in Iran. That man should be locked up in prison for the evil that has been perpetrated in his name. What is it about "I hold you in esteem", which is what the Pope said to the Muslim ambassadors who did take up the invitation to dialogue did you not understand? Esteeming someone means that they are held in high regard. On the other hand, look at the way that the monkeys and dogs in Gaza, Lahore, Londonistan, Karachi, and elsewhere have behaved towards all Christians, and to Pope Benedict in particular!! Do you think that we are so dumb that we do not understand the meaning of the picture of the Pope with blood dripping? Well, we do understand and we know where the real lack of intolerance exists. This Pope is not going to be soft on the issue relating to the lack of freedom to worship for other faiths in Islamic countries. Look at the way churches have been fire bombed!! You dare to claim that such an action is unIslamic. If it was so unislamic, why did Mohammed sack churches? Huh? Islamics from the time of Mohammed (and they did not exist before Mohammed) destroyed churches, the sacred vessels, and they subjugated all who would not convert by mere submission. Millions of Christians, Jews, Buddhists, Hindu, Jain and others have died at the hand of Islam. There is no tolerance for other faiths within Islam, unless the Dhimmis pay the tax that is imposed upon those who have been forced to submit to this ruthless rule. The Dhimmis are forced to wear different clothing from the conquerors. They are not allowed to walk in groups together, and must walk in single file. They are not even allowed to walk on the same side of the road as the scum who defeated them. The Catholic Church teaches that we should have the right to woship according to our beliefs, and that includes having the freedom to build our own church structures. Yet, under Islam, Jews are not permitted to build synagogues, and the Christians are not allowed to build new churches, neither are they allowed to repair any that are damaged by such unislamic violence. What is being revealed now about the lack of tolerance that islamics have for others, is nothing new. They have always behaved in this fashion, which is a good indication that what we are seeing is exactly what Mohammed ...preached.
