Re:Reader comment on item: Advice to Non-Muslim Women against Marrying Muslim Men Submitted by Straight_Talk_Luigi (United States), Apr 30, 2008 at 18:01 -----------------------i simply read the stories on here to see if there is anyone who will benefit from my personal experiences with arab muslim men. NOT BECAUSE IM BORED OF MY HUSBAND. Also my husband isnt boring - i'm simply bored at work, and me and a work mate read through the stories to share our experiences of living here.-------------------------------- Bored at work? So you come on-line and say "Look at me! I'm married to an Egyptian man! Egyptian men are SO great! Everyone wants to be with them, and if they don't they are racist!" That's how your posts come across, and Egyptian and Moroccan men aren't the only ethnicities that have ever been defended by women on-line. So what you're doing is nothing new or special. Honestly, that's what college freshman and high schoolers do on facebook and myspace: join groups they don't agree with just show everyone else that they are right, and everyone who agrees with the groups motto are wrong. I'm sure you've noticed the heading: "ADVICE TO NON-MUSLIM WOMEN DATING MUSLIM MEN." ------------yes, my children will be muslims. And if they chose not to be thats is entirely their choice. AND YES they will be taught about Jesus, the Koran contains all the stories of jesus - the difference being that they dont beilive he is the direct bloodline of god, but a normal human, with the ability to communicate with god - a prohet. With isnt a problem with me as im a Unitarian Christian, and i share the same view. They will also be taught about the islamic prohet Mohammed. So im sure its fine with jesus as they will be taught about him.-------------------- Galatians Chapter 1 Verse 8: But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. http://www.mybiblescripture.com/Bible/l_op=view-verse/lid=30094/trans=KJV.html With the some Christians are today, who knows, maybe there's more Muslims in heaven than Christians. But just a few things: Muslims and Unitarians are different because Unitarians don't want to rule the world. Islam does. On the other hand, the Unitarian Church has bent and swayed with social attitudes that contradict what Jesus taught. Islam is more than a religion, and you really need some new perspective. And I don't think your husband or his family would approve if any of your kids became Christian or something else. Islam in its orthodox form was created by Mohammed for the convienance of his friends so they could marry a bunch of multi-ethnic women and spread belief in God by the sword. Make no mistake, those who follow Islam to the exact teachings are obliged to spread it. That's the only reason why your children are going to be Muslim. Islam fine with Jesus? I REALLY think that you need to go beyond what your husband and his family and your Muslim friends tell you and look at some of the things that Dr. Pipes and Robert Spencer say. Part of learning about your religion also involves listening to the critics. http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-871902797772997781 If youre bored and don't want to talk to me anymore, then feel free to check out that video. Listen, kelly, I'm Catholic, and I've listened to pretty much every theory about Jesus---that He married Mary of Magdelene and lived in France, that he moved to India, that He didn't exist, that He was just a prophet, that His real father was a roman soldier who raped Mary, that he's the Egyptian sun god, that His Crucifixion was based on the Greek god dionysis. If you're going to get the whole perspective, then you can't shut out the critics or people who disagree with you. I don't think that Jesus would be okay with Islam because what Mohammed did was to try and do one better than Catholicism. That meant removing all teachings of love your enemy and humility and instead go back to the old way of using force to get what you want. That's just WAY to coincidental for my tastes. And why would God remove what Jesus taught? Islam makes no sense to me. Also, Jesus was not just some prophet, He is the best mediator we have between ourselves and God. Islam rejects that idea "If you shall be ashamed of me, so then I shall be ashamed of you." --Jesus -------------- Im sorry - i have to totally disagree with you about Russian women. The certainly do come here, as sinai is part of Asia and its not difficult for them to get a visa. (Egypt on the other side of the Suez canal is a different story). I watch everyday a russian women arrive (i work in tourism) they arrive single - simply looking for a nice guy to meet to enjoy their holidays - and they dont look afraid of Arab men when they're renting a flat for the night to be with them.------------------------------- You've said this earlier, and that's because it's a tourist town. I posted on this earlier, and the rules in those places are different for economic reasons. Of course, not EVERY single Russian woman is the same, mind you, BUT, just because you've seen it doesn't mean a relationship happens. There is a growing trend of European women who take sex vacations to the Mediterranean, and it's largely because they perceive men their age to be ugly and can get a tanned, thin younger man. Someone posted an article about that not too long ago. ---------------Honestly - who was even talking about my husband here?? the origional question was 'are egyptians racist?'----------------------------- Every group has racists. ----------------------and i was only sharing my experiences. So lets not get too personal, after all, who has the best experience of Arab Muslim men? Some one who is married to one - living in an Arab Muslim country - oh and by the way im a WOMAN so has better experience on how men treat woman than you would being a man!--------------------- The thing is kelly, is that on here we are all sharing some pretty personal details. Don't forget in your bliss that many other women on here aren't sure and are struggling. Please appreciate that. Not for me, but for them. Kelly, most women on here know more about marriage than I do, but where my thoughts come in are with the on-line dating and my careful, unbiased study of Islam.-------------------------------Or you - who im sure hasnt had any similar experience as these women on this site regarding Muslim Arab MEN!------------------------------------------------- What I have is on-line experience, both professionally and personally, if you will. I've also helped run websites before. I don't need to become bisexual and go the Middle East to find out what goes on. On-line dating and these meet-me-on-vacation relationships fail in the worst ways possible. Every single person (including you) have given me one or many reasons why their relationship is doomed. I am NOT politically correct, and I am not afraid to say how I REALLY feel as opposed to what others want me to say.I would like to say that race/religion don't matter in on-line dating, but they sure as heck seemed to be the end-all be all for you and some of the others on here. And it also gives clues as to their motives, which are usually evil. ----------------------and yes i do know - and YES i do try to stop them - its easier said than done. For starters most of the women who are getting scammed are RUSSIAN or Italian, i dont speak either language, and they normally dont speak English.------------------------ Good, maybe now you can have just a sliver of appreciation for what myself and others do on here. -------------------------------Finally - i see that im not the only person you've been rude to - your so obviuosly bitter about your own miserable life that you like to take it out on others who sound happy. ------------- As I said, I don't take personally what others say to me on-line. I've actually re-read what I've wrote to you, and I don't really find it that offensive, even from your perspective. I really hope you've actually read what I've said to those "others" before racing to that conclusion. But maybe being carelessly hasty is a flaw that needs amending? We all have flaws, you know, and the first step is admitting that. There hasn't been much "I'm gonna come on here and defend my man" talk for about 2.5 months now. But, I knew that it was coming sooner or later.I just think you're on here (like some others) to brag, kelly. As an outsider looking in, that's what it sounds like. And I don't go around defending the ethnicity of people I date. Maybe you're not aware, but some other Moroccans and Muslims come on here are utterly disgusted by what happens to women on here. And they SHOULD be! It almost sounds like you want me to personally approve of your relationship like a father giving a daughter his blessing. Maybe that's the root of all the problems here, that your family doesn't really support you on this. I've been around blogs too long to be fooled by the trick of placing the blame on me. Guilt-trips will not work on me. And what people say to me or about me on-line doesn't affect my personal happiness. Maybe that's the difference between me and all the women and Muslims on here who defend their men and shun the very idea of a counter opinion.-----------you can leave as many more comments on here as you like about me, but im not wasting any more of my time arguing with you. If said all that i think i need to say. Please dont comment on aything i wrtie in the future to stpo these arguments from happening, and i wont write anything about your comments--------------------------------- Do what you will, but please do not tell me how to post.
