Reply to Isis's Accusations Against MeReader comment on item: Advice to Non-Muslim Women against Marrying Muslim Men Submitted by Straight_Talk_Luigi (United States), Jun 17, 2008 at 05:47 I will say again Luigi - you have not been to Egypt, I did not meet my man on the internet, you have no experience with Islam, you have no experience with Egyptian culture. Well, there's not much improvement here, Isis. As I recall, you told me last May that I was just another American who hadn't been outside his country. Really, that's disappointing, and it makes you sound ignorant. You claim free speech but don't let me have my say. I'm giving a woman's point of view to women's relationship problems and you are a man giving a man's point of view to women's relationship problems and the common thread is Islam.Actually, I have no say whatsoever on what is posted on here. So, for you to play the victim of suppressed free speech is ridiculous. The common thread on this board is NOT Islam, it's relationship fraud and typical liars. Orthodox Islam, aside from it's desire for world conquest, merely shapes the motives of the scams and liars, which I shouldn't have to tell you transcends culture and gender. I think you just don't want to believe an Egyptian can do this because you are seeing one. Personal basis, Isis. If you're going to see the truth, you're going to have to put aside your emotions. I have said time and time again that I support all religions and cultures. You have? Where? I have no reason to disbelieve you, but I don't recall you saying that. The problem with contributors to this site is in the main, supported by people giving inexperienced and ill advised advice. I'm smiling to myself to on this one, because we both gave Lilly the same advice. I've already addressed the inexperience that you perceive, but if I wasn't experienced, I kind of doubt my posts would be the longest on here. I am just trying to level that out and restore some calm thinking here. Well Isis, I'm not the one who's in an emotional turmoil over an international relationship, and I feel for those who are. But that's one reason why emotions can rise up on here. Yet, this is by far the most mature blog you'll ever find. I have never said that Islam is better than Christianity - I said that I respect the Egyptian culture and religion - both Islam and Coptic Christianity and he respects mine - that is a big difference from your perception. I wonder how your man feels about Christians. I wonder how he would feel if a woman from his family moved to Italy, married a Catholic man and converted and raised the kids in the Catholic faith. I have both Muslim and Christian friends in Egypt and they all mingle and socialise together and have no problems, They go to weddings together, drink in the coffee houses together and have businesses with each other - no problems there either. You are twisting my words and trying to make them say what you want to believe. It's not about what I believe, but it's about looking at facts. http://www.persecution.org/suffering/countryinfodetail.php?countrycode=7The government of Egypt is based on sharia law. That's a fact. It's nice to know that you have Muslim friends who actually respect Christians, but I really wonder what the limits of that tolerance are. I would bet if someone in their family converted, it would be a different story. The above quote is pure conjecture on your part and doesn't make much sense either. I have never mentioned "love" in y posts and who are you to say that it's debatable? You have no concept of our relationship and the assumption that you have is just ridiculous - you have no personal knowledge of me. Oh, I get it know! You can assume things about me from my postings, but I can't do the same about you? ^_^ Well, Isis, when you come on here, it's for a reason. It may be that you don't 100% trust your man, or maybe you just want to feel good and tolerant about defending his culture. Whatever the case may be, I know my analysis of women who do this isn't too far off the mark. Have you noticed, that it's only Western women in relationships who come on here and make what they think is some "noble" defense of these men? Notice how women like Viking Woman, Zella, and Yasemine all advise against these, just like I do? Ever notice how women from the Middle East do as well? Is that all just coincidence?By the way what on earth is "multicultural nonsense "? Unless you are a native American Indian I assume that you also have a cultural heritage. I'll get back to you on this, this post is already too long. Believe what you want to believe Luigi. I will not respond to any more unfair personal attacks by you. To borrow a quote from Sean Hannity on his view of Hilary Clinton: One minute it's "My relationship is for real, hear me roar!" The next it's "you're using unfair personal attacks." Really, Isis, that's something that only amateur bloggers use. They go trolling around the internet, empowered by the google search engine, thinking they have all the answers and if they were to get beat in a discussion, they'll just call names or play the victim. I refuse to believe that someone as intelligent as you is like this, Isis. You're above that nonsense. Isis, should I take the assumption that you thought I don't know anything about Islam or the Middle East as offensive? Or maybe the fact that Natives don't have a cultural heritage? I reread my last post, and I suppose I could have been more professional.I'm not going to hold what you say about me against you. But maybe you can try and be a little more open-minded that it's people in doubt who come on here. People who are in normal, stable relationships with someone similar really don't need my advice. You did give Lilly some good advice. Meeting you man first makes a difference. It doesn't legitimize your relationship, but it's not as bad as meeting someone on-line. People who are on-line at night or all day are usually up to no good. I know, because I've been there.
