Dear Jo Ann---on therapy and liberal views from MuslimsReader comment on item: Advice to Non-Muslim Women against Marrying Muslim Men Submitted by Straight_Talk_Luigi (United States), Jun 24, 2008 at 21:05 Thank you so much for your kind words and support. I'm really sorry to hear about your relationship. I don't blame you for feeling the way you do, and sometimes, talking about it with someone else sure can help. The reality is, people with stark political differences don't make good couples. I had a friend who served in Iraq and he broke up with his girlfriend because they didn't agree on politics. I usually don't talk about politics on this particular blog, but I think it's something I need to address here. Since I'm from the USA, I'll use it in my example. First of all, I'm skeptical of Muslims or foreigners who support the liberals in our country. No political party is perfect, but the left CLEARLY is weak on national security and defense. That is why everyone from France to China and Sweden to Tanzania supports the USA left. It's also why every leader in every rogue nation from North Korea to Iran to Cuba and to Venezula and how terrorists from William Ayers to Hamas to al quedia support Obama. They see him as a weakling, NOT as a unifier or a man with understanding. They all stand to GAIN from a weaker America. It's as simple as that. It has nothing to do with uniting the world, multiculturalism or any other ideological nonsense like that. That's a fantasy if there ever was one, but it's bleated out ESPECIALLY by liberal nations like the EU, Australia and Canada. Why? Two reasons: 1) Because in order to economically compete with nations like Israel, America, China, and rising powers like India, Brazil, Russia, and the Asian Tigers, They NEED immigration, because Western society has become so secular that women don't have as many children. They need the tax revenue and the labor base, a base that is isn't replenished by low birthrates. The only democracies in the First World who have population growth outside of immigration are the United States and Israel. Here's why: education systems and the main-stream media promote gay marriage, abortion, embryonic stem-cell research, contraception and feminism. To them, this is "progress." NONE of these produces children. Also, traditional family values (the foundation of society) are ruthlessly attacked under the guise of "tolerance and diversity." It's gotten so bad in the humanities that scientific research is literally corrupted to support political agendas. And they say the republicans need to create fear to stay in power? All this talk about tolerance, diversity ,embracing other cultures, it's mostly because of low birthrates. How bad is it? By 2050, France, Netherlands, Belgium and possibly Germany will all be Muslim-majority countries. England will follow suit by 2100. The native EU population could lose more people over the next 7 decades than during the Black Plague. If you charted the human population since about 12, 000 BC, the Black Plague is the ONLY noticeable decrease. One UN projection had the current, native population of Europe (now 718 million) falling to 550 million by 2075, I think it was. That is NOT economically sustainable, and they are at risk from suffering a fate like the Native Americans did. That's what happens when you allow millions of people into your country who hate your values. Sure, there are moderate Muslims, but what happened to the moderates in Italy and Germany in the 1930s? They were kicked out of office, silenced and/or killed. And nobody cared, until the tanks and planes started to show up on their doorstep. I would think the violence in Iraq would be enough to show that Islamists WILL kill other Muslims if it suits them. So, converting to Islam won't save you...in more ways than one, of course :) 2) To top it all off, Canada and many EU nations have created socialist/capitalist hybrid economies. This translates into bigger government for free health care and education. Again, you can't have these without a tax base, and you can't have a tax base without children. So this is why there is so much pandering to radical immigrants by the left. I mean, if you sent these folks to Europe in 1908, and they acted the way they did, they'd be sent home no questions asked. Why? Because then, many European nations had a worldwide empire and normal population growth. They didn't NEED them. Now, they do. If they don't allow immigration, they will lose their footing on global influence almost overnight. Not only that, all the free medicine, government-funded abortion and condoms and education, are gone, and to an EU or Canadian liberal, that's worse than death. So, that's why they put up with Muslims protesting death chants in their streets, why their papers and TV stations cover for mass rapists, why they tried to blame the Spain train bombings on Basque seperatists and why they cater to Palestine. I studied international policy in college and I worked for three different government agencies. Believe me when I tell you that states on the whole from democracies to dictatorships all have the same goal: self-preservation and of course, they think their way of life is right. When it comes to the far left in the West in general, Islamists are more than willing to work with them despite polar opposite views. Why? In his best-selling book, Culture Warrior, Harvard graduate and FOX News anchor Bill O'Reilly writes: "Who do you think [Islamists] are more likely to work with? Conservative groups who know what they really want and will pursue them to the ends of the Earth or even worse (by their point of view) convert them to Christianity? Or groups like the ACLU who oppose every single anti-terror measure in existence and every public display of anything Christian." That's a paraphrase, but it's really what he's getting at. So you see, multiculturalism isn't about unity or tolerance. I'm sure to a few good folks it is, yet many people don't seem to realize that people are more comfortable with others who look and think like they do. That's why we have Chinatown, or Koreatown and ethnically separated areas in most major American cities. It's segregation by FACT, not by law. but in government and politics, it's all about serving the interests of the state. I think our society thinks that politics is about liberal vs conservative, but politics is the study of power. This has unfortunately given rise to the idea that if you criticize Islam, you're a racist. I've been called many times, mostly by EU liberals. Yet, Islam isn't a race (only 20% of Muslims are Arabs, BTW), it's a set of ideas, as youtube user capnoawesome puts it. Well, your man may SEEM like a bleeding heart liberal, but underneath, he just may be an Islamist who loves bin-laden. Islamists who act like this are practicing a strategy in the Qu'ran called taquiyya. This essentially teaches that it is okay to deceive or work with the enemy for the purpose of advancing Islam. In the US Congress, there is a Muslim by the name of Keith Ellison. Mr. Ellison is an American convert to Islam and represents a city/suburb district in the Minneapolis area (the I-35 W bridge collapse was in his district). This guy IS a bleeding heart liberal. He's for gay marriage, abortion and big on the environment. YET, CAIR, Americans notorious Muslim organization, gave him money, despite the fact that they have polar opposite goals (CAIR wants sharia law in the US). Why? Because in the USA, where Muslims are a small minority (We actually have more Buddhists now than Muslims, according to CIA estimates), CAIR will take whatever it can get. That's the game they play, and it can happen in relationships too. On Robert Spencer's jihad watch blog a couple years ago, there was a post that said "...We will marry Caucasian and Western women while the whole time [secretly] remaining loyal to jihad.....We know that ABC, CBS, NBC, BBC, PBS will all say Jews killed children, Islam is peaceful religion.....we will continue to say that jihad really means innner-struggle..........[all this] must suck for you [in the West]." You can also look at the French riots a few years ago. Socialists were more than happy to lend the Muslims a hand. I can understand why you feel sad. It's normal, and I'm sure not EVERY moment of the relationship was awful. It was really hard for me to leave my myspace woman, but what made me leave her was the fact that I caught her cheating on me. I did give her a second chance and I feel a little bit into the trap of giving in her to constant attempts to contact me, but in the end I realized that she wanted only material things that I bought for her and her parents made her give me back. She was only asking me out again to see if she could get those back. I would encourage you to read up on some of Yasemin's posts. She shared with us a while back about how she met a man on-line and how she had no clue about how he REALLY felt about politics until she met him in person. I also wanted to comment about seeing a therapist. There is NOTHING wrong with seeing a therapist, it's just there are ones who want to help you and ones who will tell you what you want to hear. On supressing ideals, I really did swallow my religion when I was with my woman too. She was a secular socialist, which was really ironic, because she was very materialistic. I mean, it's amazing how many people in the world who SAY they are socialists, yet don't want to make any sacrifices themselves. This is why socialism doesn't work. Naturally, there are two solutions: 1) Tax the rich. In theory, this means just let all the white, male, Protestant conservatives pay for the poor and lame, I'll take my ipod, laptop and movie collection. 2) Lower the population so EVERYONE can have whatever they want. Of course, we won't do that to the Muslim countries where the REAL growth is, because that would be intolerant and islamophobic. We'll just do it in the West. Nevermind the tax-base or having children. It's all about me.
