Getting even and culture, religion, education, olympics?Reader comment on item: Advice to Non-Muslim Women against Marrying Muslim Men Submitted by Straight_Talk_Luigi (United States), Aug 24, 2008 at 14:50 Hi Polly First of all, thanks for sharing your experiences on this public blog. I realize for privacy reasons it's not always easy for women to do this. The thing about getting even: I can understand how you feel. I was in a similar situation here in America with a woman on myspace, and I got revenge on her and her friends by calling them out on everything I had evidence for. I told them I knew about all the cheating and who was calling my cell at night with blocked numbers, that kind of thing. What I should have done was given them all the silent treatment and left. Just please don't be too obsessed with getting revenge. You caught him in clever fashion, I'll give you that, but sometimes these things bring out the worst in us, and if he changes you for worse ,Polly, then in a way, he still has the last laugh. What makes him act like this? Religion, culture? What some folks will never seem to understand is that his background---ie Islam or Middle Eastern or whatever, really is just the context, as JT would say. I have been saying and sharing for months now that this kind of behavior transcends all cultures, religions and gender. I suppose he could be just an angry Islamist who took Yasser Arafat at his word and wants to use the wombs of women to spread their futile little jihad around the world. Maybe the imam at the mosque he goes to bleats about how Danish women marry dogs and things like that. A lot times, Polly, it's just something the men want for themselves: a visa or bragging rights on how they shagged a woman outside of their economic class with a different skin color. That's what a lot of these so-called relationships are really about. Education: education is really becoming a big joke in both the West and the Islamic world. Since oil has been mined in the Middle East over the last 70 years, arrogant Muslim male aristocrats have been squandering the funds on radicalizing Islam once more and building mosques in foreign countries with the idea that Islam will conquer the world someday. I wonder how many moderate Muslims who use these facilities are even aware of their real purpose. I know some in the UK who don't like the idea of that huge mosque being built in London, really just so left-leaning NBC will get a shot of it every time they showcase the 30th Olympiad in 2012. On a side note, Knowing that network, they are salivating at the opportunity considering their pro-Chinese cultural promotion in this round and how head anchor Brian Williams seems to "feel sorry" for the Russians as they illegally attack another country. The Islamists have also incorporated radical cirricula into Islamic centers and in madrassas, which I guess the West's kryptonite because they don't seem to want to pull out the problem by the roots. As Islamic expert Robert Spencer notes: "The Islamists will use the same institutions of freedom and democracy for their own agenda, which is of course to deny such rights to others." That includes moderate Muslims. Here in the West we are producing a society of test-takers. Little to no innovation is encouraged, because hard leftists who have successfully infiltrated our institutions of higher learning don't want our kids to think. If they did, they would wake up and realize the dream of creating a worldwide utopia of world citizenry run by the UN where religion is a declared mental illness and simply tune them out. So, you see, with both sides, it's really about programming young, impressionable minds to fulfill some delusional world dream where their philosophy is so pure and good that no one will dare to question them. All in all, pretty shallow reasons when you break your relationship down. But it really doesn't matter because chances are, Polly, he would cheat on you if he's not already. Just be glad you've caught him. Some men and women won't without significant financial burden and loss of time. I should know, I've had to learn the hard way.
