My Trip to Morocco Experiences after reading this BlogReader comment on item: Advice to Non-Muslim Women against Marrying Muslim Men Submitted by Lisa Of USA (United States), Dec 13, 2008 at 20:39 I read this blog and followed some of it and even posted detailsof my 10 month relationship as you all know. I was even warned to end my relationship for no apparent reason other than the fact he was Moroccan and we met on-line, and since I was older it must be red flags. He did not accept money from me nor ever hinted wanting money and he is not from a poor family nor looking for a Visa. Luigi has had bad experiences and there are scammers but for him to post or say EVERYONE of these men are scammers is very wrong and not fair.... I read several statements I found from Traveling to Morocco to not be true.....First, I read you must be covered and men make the women cover out of severe jealousy...not true for Morocco. Its a preference..infact only about 5-10% were totally covered in 3 different cities I traveled to...El jadida, Casablanca, and Rabat...most all girls women wore leather jackets or blazers with black knee high boots...dressed very sexy and no they were not hookers dressed like Americans..Very neat dressers..infact the women/girls kept to themselves and men did the same and hung out at coffee shops while the women walked and shopped....there were no congregating of boys/girls like here in states or whistling or disrespect...You barely would even see someone hold hands in public out of respect for others pretty much same at airports.....how many times has Luigi even posted that us women are drawn to the melanin in the skintones of these men? My Fiance skin coloring is almost as white as mine so not always true...And he states repeatedly that Luigi is not interested in woman 30 more less 40 well he is not from Morocco... These men are taught that age is not the utmost concern if you love someone. I discussed this issue with my Fiance's dad who is very Muslim and religious and I discussed issue with sister about not being able to give him children...she said children are not his wish and he would be just as good with my kids. Luigi is expressing his point of view and can't speak for all men on many of these subjects...I just visted Morocco and stayed two weeks with my Fiance in his sisters home....This was a wonderful family.....I can't speak for all Moroccan families or other cases cause this family has money. The sister's home we shared together she moved out and rented it but also told me my next trip we would not have to pay her anything cause I am family and her home is my home....She cried when we said good byes....She bought my daughters both a gift for me to bring back to states.....another sister went in with the mom and bought me a departing gift...Moroccan silver tea platter and tea pot/kettle so I can make mint tea like she showed me so I can make it for her son once he is in the states....I was invited to family home for Couscous and a few other trips and the sisters home for a family dinner. ..The mom tried to teach me Arabic as well as young nephew of 8 years.. Two sisters are married to Doctors and have very wealthy homes. No one asked me for anything but my time and enjoyed my company and was over joyous to meet me and was relieved to know I would be good for the brother/son and I made him happy.....They all thought I was beautiful and My Fiance cooked for me...served me breakfast in bed every morning with fresh made fruit juice made in blender and we took beach walks and rides. I was introduced to every friend in this small town as his fiance...his lawyer friend went to lunch with us bought us lunch did some legal advice and help for free...took pics of us by the beach.....one night while eating seafood....one of the nicer cops of town came over (a frnd) sat down and knew a little english and he let me know I had a very gentle caring man... When driving he would hold my hand and changing gears he would place hand on his leg. He always wanted me touching him.....he was proud to be seen out with me and is sad I had to leave....I will be returning in March...His mom loves me and cried when I left and wants to pay for our Moroccan wedding and even my wedding dress...the sister of Doctor offered her nice home for place of marriage...a niece that came to dinner was taking english classes from actual English teachers stationed there to teach classes and she translated things for mom and sisters... They wanted to know what my first impression of brother was...was he evereything I expected him to be...if I was scared traveling....how I like Morocco...how long Brother and I been seeing one another......They loved the love story of it the meeting and taking chance on happiness and love. They had great respect and admiration for me by taking my chance with my love for him.....There are some good people in Morocco and I was very comfortable with my fiance...M'hammed...I had young children at home and I hated leaving this man....He is so caring.....I took very little money so we went through my money running for two weeks trying to do paperwork for our marriage and he then spent what he had and borrowed some from the lawyer friend....He just wants to be happy as I do and we both have patience and care deeply about one another and yes he is 32 and I am 42 but all his friends told us I look more of 36 and he is fine with my age and not embarrassed by it and we have fun and communicate well and we miss just cuddling in bed watching soccer together.... .Ladies all these men are not bad. I met some wonderful people and men there and also a lady who was on plane from Morocco to New York went to another city to hang out with Moroccan tour guide friends and no she has no interest in any of them but loves the kindness of thsee people and plans vacations every year to spend time with them.....Don't let all here scare you but do ask yourself if its real if he is hinting for money or mean or nasty with you....My vacation pictures can be viewed at myspace.com search for Lisa Wallace or myspace.com forward slash mirrorimagephotosbylisa ....
