First I find it amusing that you have to stress that you are "both equally attractive." Has he told you you're sexy because you're "fish fleshy." Newsflash for you, sweety, fish fleshy is five to 10 pounds overweight maximum. Anything else over that is, even for Turks, fat.

I have lived in Istanbul for almost 5 years and wouldn't touch a Turkish man with a 10-foot pole. They're great as friends but that's it. It was even a male Turkish friend who advised me when I first got here to "stay away from Turkish men. They will never love you like a Turkish girl." I have heard my friends say many times in front of me "foreign girls are for fun or visas and Turkish girls are for marriage." Sure, there are a few and I mean a few rare exceptions (and in the few exceptions I know they were married because the woman was pregnant and in all of them the Turkish male has gotten a visa or citizenship). I don't know one Turkish man who isn't cheating on his wife. And believe me, Turkish women are far more beautiful than you or I could ever hope to be.

And the fact that you're even on here searching for "Turkish men, visas..." kind of answers your question for you, don't you think? Let's just pretend your romeo was a nice, homegrown, all-American boy next door. Would you be online asking total strangers "do you think Johnny is with me for my money/sex/visa?" I'm on here for searching "I hate Turkish men" after having yet another go-around with an islamic Turkish twit who propositioned me for sex. Rather than say "no" I said "no, I am married." His response "no problem. I am married too." Don't kid yourself about Turks being secular. Their secular government is on shaky ground and the men here think just like Arab/Paki/Indonesian/American et al muslims towards non-muslim women and that is you are disposable. Something to give them something be it sex/money/visa. Yes, there are a few exceptions who can think beyond the typical knuckle-dragging islamic mind-set but those exceptions are RARE and he's already thinking "visa." Makes you wonder what else he's thinking.

You know they get brownie points from Allah for converting us infidels. I know because I made one really angry when I refused to convert. First thing he will do is ask you to convert. If you refuse he will at least force you to raise your children as muslims. Let's pretend Johnny is Protestant and you are Catholic? Would you be so obnoxious as to ask your darling to convert to your beliefs? You would balk if he demanded you convert to Catholicism wouldn't you? Why would you put up with the same behaviour from your Ahmet/Fevzi/Burak? Johnny won't get high-fives all around from his mates for converting you but you can be damn sure your Turkish honey will. Johnny's mother won't resent you because you're not the sweet, virginal girl-next-door, but Ahmet's mother will surely hate your guts.

This is long-winded but I am sick to death of seeing all of these bloody stupid women falling for these muslim tw*ts and then boo-hooing about how they were used and abused by them. I am also sick to death of being sexually-harassed by muslim gits who can't take "no" for an answer. Always, and I mean every time their responses are, no matter which islamic country they are from, "you are a prostitute," followed by "I **cked 100's of whores like you!" Of course, when you threaten to castrate them for harassing you they tell you "cool/calm down," "relax and take medication" and "you are so aggressive woman! You need psychological help!" They behave this way because of women like YOU who entertain them! Don't play with the muslims! Just find a nice American guy. And seriously, would you believe any American guy if he told you he loved you after a few days/weeks/months? Why, why. why do you women suddenly become stupid in the presence of these islamic lotharios? They're not even that attractive!

Why don't you turn the table on your honey and tell him you will marry him but you can't get him an American visa because you were arrested for protesting the invasion of Iraq but you want a Turkish residency permit from him so the two of you can live happily ever after in Turkey. See how lovey-dovey he is then.
