Advice for Samantha

Regardless of your age, be prepared for several disappointments. Muslims live in a completely different culture, a culture exactly opposed to the western culture in which you were raised. A muslim man will always think of himself, first. He will expect you to be completely faithful while he makes as many women as he possibly can, women of all ages.

Women, of any nationality or age, are considered less than second class citizens to Muslim men. Muslim culture permits a man to have four wives, so they learn early on that the women they choose are like part of a personal collection. You will never be the solely exclusive woman in his life, though he will swear to you at first that you are his only, now and forever. This will not last beyond a few weeks or months, if you're lucky.

Wives are expected not to ask questions and if they do, they often suffer some pretty freightening consequences. "Girlfriends" fare no better so they can expect to be lied to and if they continue on with the questioning, they either will be dropped from the chain or they will be advised either to accept the man's behaviour or quit the relationship.

I watched an Arabic music video on youtube which demonstrated clearly the scenario I've describe to you. The video begins with a woman and man (husband and wife) entering an elegant dinner party. Almost immediately, the husband begins to stare and opening flirt with another beautiful woman. The wife does nothing except to look down and try to ignore, though you can see the anquish apparent in her face.

As the video progresses, you see the husband escort the wife out of the restaurant and into a cab where he places her, asks the driver to get her home safely, and then makes his departure for the bed of this other woman. At the end of the video, you see the wife arrive home, and on entering the flat alone and in tears, she walks into the bath and crumbles to the floor in an emotional frenzy.

This sort of activity by the husband (or boyfriend) is the rule rather than the exception, so if you want to avoid a lifetime of heartache and pain, stick with your American boyfriend.
