Lina comments to LuigiReader comment on item: Advice to Non-Muslim Women against Marrying Muslim Men Submitted by Lisa (United States), Nov 2, 2009 at 16:48 Lina, Moroccans don't like drama or problems. Believe me my son has caused enough and his girlfriend has even made threats when he gets here to beat herself up and go to the police and say he did it. My husband is aware of this and a lot of other issues with my 24 year old son who is still living at home and causing me trouble and doesn't help me do anything. He knows its not going to be easy. He could easily move on to another woman Lina. He has stayed by my side for almost 2 years now. He has bnever left me hanging or wondering. He has a steady job and things are looking up for him. He is working 12-14 hrs everyday to save money for when he comes and he is paying the cost of his airfare, etc. and he still has his savings from summer jobs. He is good with money and doesn't ask me to help with anything. Believe me he has proved his love over and over again. Also keep in mind, Jobs here are not that scarce anymore in my city with the economy the way it is. We have even been moved around in my job departments to keep from laying off! He is coming here with so many uncertainities Lina. His life will be hard at first adjusting. His life is not going to be served on a silver platter and he also knows I struggle with finances sometimes and he knows I overspend and I don't have a big savings. He teases me I am just as poor as him. This is one reason he will not take from me and he always says baby you are a mom and you have kids, Im ok I still have money. Don't forget too that he could have married a distant cousin who was a pharmacists and had money and car and home and my husband doesn't come from a poor family. There are doctors among the family and they all have lavish homes. Not the typical poor Moroccans. My husband has a lot more english ways than he does Moroccan. He absolutely refuses to wear the moroccan dressing and was not even going to bring one here but I told him he may need to incase he needs it for Islam services here and he said he doesn't like to wear it. He didn't change clothes and wear Moroccan at our marriage party. He took 2 years of English at Marrakech University which he also had a Moroccan girlfriend he was in love with at that time as well. I agree with you about the women. My husband pointed out some of the known prostitutes and you couldn't tell by looking. Men know from word of mouth and many are turning to it for easy money or survival and these women love to dress better than us,lol and it probably takes it for their upkeep. There are good women there who don't go out at night who doesn't want to be thought bad of. Most men think after hrs late the women are up to no good. I did see a few in a bar we went into to show me their bar and neither of us was there over like 5 minutes. I felt sleazy and we didn't order anything to drink. We left pretty quickly. Lina thank you for wanting to wish us well. I can't post all our private stuff here and I have already had to say more than I wanted too. He would ask me why even bother if he knew I posted here and would say its our life and we know ourselves and he would say he knows himself and it doesn't matter what others think. He would say baby they don't even know me.Anyway, ... There has been no red flags and he knows Im headstrong and stubborn, but sweet too.
