Afghani man- my reflections...Reader comment on item: Advice to Non-Muslim Women against Marrying Muslim Men Submitted by Margaret (Poland), Nov 11, 2009 at 17:51 First I start with a story I heard: One couple was looking for a nanny. All the candidates seemed perfect but one said she smoked cigarettes. Guess what they did- they hired the smoking lady. The man explained that is was the honesty that convinced them- and if she disclosed such a fault- she is basically a truthful person..the nanny stayed with them for a long time... It is now advised when you are interviewed to get a job to disclose some of your faults-because nobody believes in the perfect 100 % angel on earth anymore... And this is exactly the case with the Western guys and the Afghani man... The guys were not perfect but they were REAL... Do you know the proverb : "Too good to be truth" ? If you look like an Afghani - then why the overseas relationship- he could get "the same" by just marrying a local girl...I dont mean it as an insult- but you see my point- the whole trouble of talking via Internet, the language barrier, different religion so on... Lets take the best case scenario- he is for real...What are you going to offer to your kids : From CIA world factbook: total population: 44.64 years country comparison to the world: 214male: 44.47 years female: 44.81 years (2009 est.) definition: age 15 and over can read and write total population: 28.1% male: 43.1% female: 12.6% (2000 est.) School life expectancy (primary to tertiary education): total: 8 years male: 11 years female: 4 years (2004) NAThe Afghanis are very, very conservative muslims- they are like the Saudis- but the Saudis have money and it makes the live so much easier...The Taliban basicaly regressed the country into medieval times but the guys from the Northern Alliance ( Taliban foe- currently ruling) are only little less conservative...So the life there is like a hell for women and for liberal modern men too... Take the Afghani journalist who got 20 years for downloading some critical stuff from the Internet about the women in islam...Initially they want to hang him for that...His name is Perwez Kambakhsh- google it if you want to check if I am teliing the truth... So the fact that your" fiancee" is not willing to leave is quite disturbing... Cia World factbook: 21 migrant(s)/1,000 population (2009 est.) country comparison to the world: 2It is either a trick to make you the "begging party" :Please, please come to Canada and then he wil mercifully agree- or it is a jihadi operation. The fact he mentioned Pakistan and the fact that he wants to basically smuggle you into the country illegally- "you look like an Afghani" - probably people who go into Afghanistan are not checked carefully- so you will just pass the checkpoint as an Afghani ... You must know that the terrorists are using more and more women in their suicide attacks- and many of them are not going willfully... Here are a choice excerpts from various articles: "The Taliban has recruited a new, unsuspected lot as suicide bombers: women in burqas. Dr Rizwan Taaj, a psychiatrist at Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences, told rediff.com, "Women, especially those illiterate, can be easily brainwashed in the name of religion. Just like teenagers (boys), it is very easy to exploit women and use them as suicide bombers." Taaj said a woman could be compelled for such missions if she was threatened that her children would be killed. "Money is another factor that could attract a female towards the suicide attack," he added." (...) "Her choice of suicide was not entirely hers to make. The suicide vests the cell gave to participants were outfitted with remote detonators so that someone else could explode the would-be bomber if she somehow failed to do it herself. This was a relatively new aspect of suicide bombing in Iraq. A second person, with a second detonator, would go on the mission to ensure against changes of heart. "One day this woman, Shaima, said, 'I am ready.' I saw Shaima when they put the vest on her. It was very heavy. With Shaima, they exploded her, she did not explode herself. There were five or six killed."" "MIREILLE, who was born in Belgium to a white, middle-class Christian family, blew herself to pieces last month in a suicide attack against American troops near Baghdad. In one of the most extraordinary tales of Islamic radicalisation, she is thought to be the first white Western woman to carry out a suicide bombing. Belgian investigators, who arrested 14 people associated with her, are keeping the 38-year-old woman's true identity secret, but details have started to emerge. She was from the southern Belgian town of Charleroi, married to a Moroccan and converted to an extreme form of Islam. "This is how she came into contact with the organisation which allowed her to become a fighter for jihad," said Glenn Audenaert, the federal police director. Her Belgian documents show that she travelled with her husband to Iraq. On November 9 she blew herself up in a car bomb attack on a US military convoy, killing — according to conflicting reports — either only herself, or six people. Her Belgian passport was near by. Her husband was killed by American troops in a separate incident. Security sources said that they knew of no other western European women suicide bombers. Al-Qaeda recently appealed for white converts to become suicide bombers, because it was easier for them to travel and evade detection before carrying out their attacks. Mireille's story leaked out yesterday in the French media, prompting the series of raids across four Belgian cities, including Brussels, and separate raids in Paris. M Audernaert said that the authorities wanted "to dismantle this network, which we knew was on our territory and which aimed to send volunteers for the jihad to the battlefield". The backgrounds of those arrested show that the problem of Islamic terrorism is no longer confined to immigrant communities — seven of those arrested were Muslim converts of native Belgian origin, two were Belgians of north African origin, two were Tunisians and three were Moroccans. One of the chief suspects held yesterday was a male Belgian convert to Islam, police said. "We know these groups are always planning attacks. All we can say is there were no attacks planned in Europe." The group had been under surveillance for four months, but Mireille slipped out of the country. "It was through this organisation that the lady went to Iraq with her husband, but we only knew about her once she was already there," said M Audernaert. Belgium, with its big Muslim community, has become notorious as an operational base for Islamic terrorists." "BAGHDAD - Two mentally retarded women strapped with remote-control explosives — and possibly used as unwitting suicide bombers — brought carnage Friday to two pet bazaars, killing up to 99 people (updated death toll) in the deadliest day since Washington flooded the capital with extra troops last spring. The coordinated blasts — coming 20 minutes apart in different parts of the city — appeared to reinforce U.S. claims al-Qaida in Iraq may be increasingly desperate and running short of able-bodied men willing or available for such missions. But they also served as a reminder that Iraqi insurgents are constantly shifting their strategies in attempts to unravel recent security gains around the country. Women have been used in ever greater frequency in suicide attacks. The twin attacks at the pet markets, however, could mark a disturbing use of unknowing agents of death. "The other video, shot by one of the men who drove her to the checkpoint, shows Hasna looking impassively out of the window until they approach Kilometer 5. Then she pulls a veil over her face and adjusts the belt around her waist before stepping out. One of the men in the car whispers, "God is great!" She doesn't respond or look back. As the car drives away, the video, shot through the rear window, shows her approaching the checkpoint. She is quickly obscured from view by the dust trail behind the car. Nearly a minute later there's a flash, a muffled boom and a column of black smoke. "God is great!" says the cameraman. "The stupid woman did it."" "It could be a fatal flaw in the war on terror, however. In March 2003, the London-based al Sharq al Awsat publication carried a story in which it quoted a woman named Um Usama, who said she was the leader of the group's female fighters. "My duty is to supervise the training of the women fighters who belong to al Qaeda and the Taliban," she said in the interview, warning that female suicide bombers were being trained for operations in the West. ... M. Though she offered no Islamic credentials to support her interpretation of Islam's religious texts, Um Usama (Mother of Usama) spoke for herself and apparently for her army of al Qaeda women in declaring that "Islamic law permits the woman to stand by the man and to support him in the holy war." It's impossible to confirm Um Usama's standing within al Qaeda, but her threat is worth taking seriously. The istishhadiyah- woman fighter- is now fully engaged in the jihadist armies around the globe. We should expect them. Some might even come wearing crosses." ...........
