For CindyReader comment on item: Advice to Non-Muslim Women against Marrying Muslim Men Submitted by Zella (United States), Jan 28, 2010 at 15:49 It's not against Islamic Law to use people who are "infidels". Since the beginning of the Islamic faith until today, the same practices continue. Women are still viewed as inferior and are bought and sold like camels. Girls are expected to cater to the whims of their brothers. Christians, Jews, and other religions are still considered to be inferior. There is no way that anyone can expect these men to act differently. They have been raised with a stone-age mentality and they are trying to function in a modern technology age. Let's just think about one issue for a minute. If you lived in a very poor country and you found someone to help you leave your country for a country of opportunity, wouldn't you show gratitude to that "someone"? Of course you would. Not the men that hang out in Internet Cafes or at tourist sites looking for a much older woman to scam. They don't know the definition of gratitude. Their values are totally different from those of us in western countries. They don't value women as being proud and intelligent. Why should they? They were raised by powerless women who stayed home while the men went out and did whatever they wanted to do. These men know little or nothing about their religion. Why? Because they have never studied the religion but have always believed whatever someone else told them. Islam does dictate that men are not supposed to ask women for money unless the woman is his wife and then he is expected to pay back the money. First of all I cannot imagine my being so desperate for a man that I would give him money. If he can't take care of himself, I don't want him. Only desperate women settle for poor men. Sorry but that's my take and that's how I was raised. These men do not love. The word "LOVE" is one they learned from watching films. They learned that western women are addicted to love and they use the word to their advantage. Many of us have an ancestery that originated in Islamic countries and we know how generations of women suffered and we sure aren't going to let the same thing happen to us. These men stay away from us when the word gets out in the neighborhood that "those women are very smart". "Very smart" means they can't run their games on us. When they come to this country, they bring their same behaviors with them. They find a job in the restaurant business so they can work at night, then hang out until dawn, sleep until 1:00 p.m. and then get ready for work and the cycle begins all over again. They drink alcohol (against the teachings of Islam). They use drugs (also against the teaching of Islam). They hang out with their MALE friends (I have my thoughts about this but I won't share them but I will say that hanging out with the boys is ok to a certain point but after the "certain point" the behavior is not alright). They go through the motions of going to school but most never finish. When they acquire American citizenship, they go home so they can marry the woman their mothers and aunties have found for them. Then they return to the U.S. and about six months later they bring their wives. The wives stay at home, have babies, and are rarely seen out in public (the same that occurs in Moroc). The men continue to work at night, hang out with their male friends, sleep until 1:00 p.m. and the cycle begins all over again. With these men, nothing changes but the date and the time. Just remember that unmarried women in Morco are desperate and they will marry anyone as long as it's one of their own and he can afford to feed her (usually he brings home food from the restaurant that is left over from a party) and buy her some used clothing. Why you women want these men is certainly above my realm of comprehensioon. If you want to contribute to a charity, that's great. Why use your hard earned money to support a man who will never change? I just don't understand.
