Response to Wife of MuslimReader comment on item: Advice to Non-Muslim Women against Marrying Muslim Men Submitted by Straight_Talk_Luigi (United States), Feb 3, 2010 at 17:22 I can't speak for Saudi Arabia. It;s a country totally different from places like Morocco. WOMEN can drive in MOROCCO. I drove in Morocco and I saw FIRSTHAND women driving even motorcycles and mo-peds. I did not say that Morocco and Saudi Arabia were the same or that women in Morocco cannot drive, so don't put words in my mouth. However, you cannot stay in hotel unless you and your are married in Morocco—at least officially. This is the reason so many people have a misinterpretation of Muslims in general. They do not all think alike or behave alike, or believe the same in religion, but they still get a bad rap. Bad rap here on this board, a bad rap in the media If you're referring to the America media, well guess what? 90% of the media is liberal, and liberals dislike traditional values, which are at the core of every religion. As far as this board is concerned, it has been mentioned very clearly on numerous occasions, that In fact, I just told you in my response that this board is not a lithmus test for Islam. Are you even reading what I wrote on here or are you just responding on adrenaline? Howe many times in the media have you heard anyone reporting anything positive Mulslims have done? Very RARE. As I said, most of the media in the USA is liberal. Not is the media liberal, it is infested with left-wing activists. This means they create news on several occasions and love to report on villains and crises to help advance their agenda by scaring everyone into running to the government for relief. The only consistently positive reporting you'll get is all the "good" the Democrat party does, but because of the dire economic situation, even they are falling out of favor in some cases. So, I would say that they rarely report on anything positive PERIOD, much less what the 0.6% of the American population does. If a man did something bad that is Muslim, Media makes sure he/she points it out!! How many times does the media say "he was an American" who raped, killed, tortured, killed their baby, killed their families, robbed a bank, stabbed their neighbor, did home invasions and killed, shall I go on???? Your claim is so ridiculous. I cannot think of a single case where the suspect's religion entered into a rape, murder, robbery, breaking an entry or other domestic crime. HOWEVER, were the man a conservative, well, they'd be sure to make good use of that! Torture? Are you kidding? The media has been trying to sell the idea that American soldiers, not Muslims, have been torturing prisoners since 2004! You get my point! The only thing I get is that you are just interested in defending your man's religion from assaults that never took place. I read a lot of things on the internet that I should not read but does not indicate I am crazy or have marital problems. I think its crazy that so many ignorant people on this board are fiilled with so much hate but still chose to land themselves back in the SAME bad situations. 1) None of the regular posters are filled with hate. If you have a problem with something says, respond to them specifically. Don't generalize because it's easy for you. 2) Discussing negative relationships that involve Muslim men 3) If your marriage is so delightful and your man so wonderful, I do not believe you would need to be on here writing me a lengthy reply. It obviously matters to you what I and others think. Also, I doubt this is the only blog you visit. What prompted you to look this stuff up anyways? 4) No one said you were crazy. You just happen to fit the pattern of being insecure in a relationship with a man. That is all. 5) You're right--- some women do make the same mistakes again. It sometimes has to do with being with a younger man of a different complexion. You know, all those redeeming characteristics that make for a stable relationship. 6) Even if you "should not read" things on the internet, you are. In fact, you're doing more than that---you're interacting with people you don't even know! Some are begging for a man's love even if he is a piece of worthless crap and they know it. The crazy things said here on some days, are good for a laugh, so sorry if I am caught up in the soap opera of these women's stories. I'm not sure what you mean by "crazy" things, since you are generalizing, but I hardly find any of these situations funny. I wonder just how entertaining if you "get caught up" in the situations on here. I'm beginning to think that you and your husband have a communication problem, or maybe you just don't trust him as much as you think you do. I don't believe haof of what I read here. Why? No one really knows who is posting or which stories are true, which are false, which are overly exagerated, which stories the women are so obsessed that they lead the man to leave them from lying to them in the first place. A good rule of thumb is to give the benefit of the doubt until you find evidence to the contrary. Second-guessing will solve nothing. Also, several women on here have facebook and myspace accounts they have shared with us. As someone who has grown up using a computer and the internet, there are certain discernable behavioral patterns people have on-line. Like the lady who went to see her man who was so hadicapped and mentally instable that once she got there in Morocco she could not get out of a wheel chair and she smelled of urine and so over weight, and the story of the woman who comes to this board and posts so much vial things about her Moroccan but at the same time he had to leave his city to get away from this lunatic. There are over 9015 comments on this board. You'll have to be more specific than that. But in any case, those are the kind of blunders you can expect from international, on-line dating. She harrassed him to a point of calling his boss and litterally torturing the man. Im talking about calling to find him on the grounds she loves him so much. So there are two sides to everything and we are only hearing one side. Im sure some stories here are truth but i bet a lot are fiction or people adding fuel to the fire like with all public chat type boards and blogging because everyone posts anonymous Posting anonymously does not negate the integrity of one's story. Western women tend to value their privacy very much and it's a safe bet we would not hear from them if they had to tell us specifics about they were. It's not a good idea to do that on the internet anyways.
