egyptian menReader comment on item: Advice to Non-Muslim Women against Marrying Muslim Men Submitted by karen (Australia), Mar 31, 2010 at 21:31 think about my experience..knew him online for 6 years ...loved him dearly ..knew his family and friends ..taught me arabic ..taught me his religion and his culture..his mother always said she loved me and his father in the back ground being very quite...every day was a new day for us sharing each others daily experiences and worries ..phone calls , sms, parcels letters everything to feel as though we were living in the reality . If i didnt come to the net or answer any of his text messages he would go crazy. But it was either i forgot to take my mobile phone to work with me or i was sound asleep. Plans were made between us for me to go to his city. Many plans for marriage etc ....he told me his life is nothing without me ..he didnt want to lose me...he would cry he would laugh he would become angry he would advise me all the things a women needs and seeks in a man .... 6 years was a very long time....the end result .....he sms me while i was making plans for the travel to him and told me he was depressed and tired of his life, everyone around him giving him pressure to marry from his own kind. Told me , thank u for ur love and ur kindness , but plz dont ever contact me as i will get engaged next week. My whole life was like the world had moved away from my feet and i was suspended into air . Nothing holding me but the air itself . I then rung him . I said what is happening? what is all this? he said my mother found a women for me and we r to be engaged next week. I said u love her? he said i will learn to love her. I travelled to his country and to his city as planned. I had to met the man i knew only from the net for 6 years to make my life and my depression complete. I saw the lights hanging from the flat in which his parents lived. I walked up to the fourth floor and was going to knock. My stomach turning itself around and around. I could hear laughter coming from the flat. i turned and walked back down...I could not do what I travelled 2 days to do. Stand in front of the man and his family i had known and loved for all these years . I knew as a western women I would not fit in with his way and his family way of living. The lights hanging from the flat i found out by the taxi driver was that a wedding took place . I ask his friends online how he is and wish him all the happiness in his life. His mother wanted a grand son . She got a grand daughter instead , as her son was the only child she had . So it is what the egyptian mothers want for their sons that makes them or breaks them. Regardless as we from the western world know to love someone before marriage and not after marriage is our way of thinking. but theirs is a combination . lastly ..there was an age difference of 15 years ....and as i reminded him ...Muhammed PHUB was much younger than his first wife ...so hypocrites exsists even in religion .... I dont blame him never will blame him for not being a man and standing up for what he wanted in this life...but obviously the mother is at his feet and always will be ...God Bless her ... he never asked anything from me not even talked sexual to me. Just loved me . Maybe now when i think about it all....he just wanted company until the day came for him to find his real love in this life.....for i knew he never really loved me ...otherwise he would have moved the earth....
